Today is Tuesday and normally that means Taco Tuesday. it’s Red Ribbon Week, so it’s “Talk About It Tuesday”. Today we encourage our Rough Rider Family to discuss the issues of drugs, alcohol, and the negative impact they have on society and young people’s lives. Remember to keep the importance of “choosing to be drug free” and “celebrating drug free lives” in the conversation. Find “teachable” and “talkable” moments to see where your friend’s heads are at, and where your student’s heads are at. Talk today, or sometime this week. Talk early and often. Here are some talking prompts to get you started: Do you think drug and alcohol use is a big thing at Roosevelt? What are some fun things you can do besides smoke or drink? “Most kids DON’T DRINK”, do you think this is a true statement? Why or Why Not? C’mon Riders, chop it up on “Talk About it Tuesday”. Everyone remember to get your red ribbon on Wednesday during lunch tomorrow!
