In 2020, over 38 million people faced hunger in the United States, including more than 12 million children. Help out our community by bringing nonperishables for our canned food drive next week! If our school meets our goal of 10,000 cans, there will be no homework over Thanksgiving Break! We CAN do it!

Baby, Baby, Baby!! Seniors turn in your baby photo to the yearbook class by Thanksgiving Break! How, you may ask? Use the Google form that was sent out or the QR code that is posted around the school. Send it today!

Today is picture retake day! Didn’t get a picture taken on School Picture Day? Don’t like the way your picture turned out? Head to the Auditorium TODAY during your lunch period to get your photo taken!!

Kent Social Services serves hot meals 5 days a week to Kent families in need. If every single person at our school brings in 8 cans, we can reach our goal of 10,000 items, and end Longcoy’s reign as the top can collector in the district. Let’s show the elementary schools that TRHS has a CAN-DO attitude!

Interested in playing Boys Volleyball in the spring? There will be an open gym on Tuesday Nov 16th from 7:00-8:30 at Stanton.

The FALL ONE ACT FESTIVAL hits the stage next week with performances on Thursday November 18th thru Saturday November 20th. Tickets will be sold during all lunches next week. Seating is limited so be sure to nab your tickets early!!

Attention Silent Auction team members, we will not be having our weekly Silent Auction meeting on 11/10/21. Continue to call and contact places and people to gain more donations. Thank you for all your hard work, we are making good progress!

We especially need gravy, corn muffin mix, pie filling, applesauce, dried onions, chicken broth cans, cream of mushroom soup, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, stuffing, canned yams/sweet potatoes, green beans, and corn! Congratulations to our AMAZING Rough Rider cheerleaders. Last night, they competed at Brecksville High School where they beat out Barberton and Tallmadge to ONCE AGAIN earn the title of Suburban League American Conference CHAMPIONS. Thank you to all these ladies for all their dedication and long hours of practice. You are the best!

Congratulations to Boy's Golfer Liam Curtis who has been named to the Northeast Ohio Golf Coaches Association All Northeast Ohio 2nd team! Liam is the first freshman in Roosevelt golf history to earn this honor. Congratulations Liam!

Canned Food Drive November 8-12! One in seven children are food insecure. Keep this in mind as we kick off our canned food drive this week for Kent Social Services! Please bring in your cans to a collecting teacher for your grade. Freshman collectors are Mrs. Foreman, Ms. Reschke, and Mr. Markulis. Sophomores are Mr. Hibbs, Mrs. Watt and Mrs. Fahey, Juniors Mrs. Puhalla, Mr. Marquette and Mrs. Donaldson and Seniors turn your cans in to Mrs. Harr, Mr. Hughes and Mrs. Golden! TRHS CAN!!!

Attention all those interested in trying out for the Baseball team this spring. There will be an informational meeting in Mr. Haney’s room 152 this Thursday at 2:45. That’s a Baseball meeting in room 152 at 2:45 on Thursday!

ATTENTION any boy or girl planning on wrestling this year, The First Official Day of Wrestling Practice will be THIS FRIDAY from 3 - 5 pm at Stanton Middle School Upstairs behind the bleachers. Bring wrestling shoes and running shoes. If you don't have wrestling shoes just bring tennis shoes. Be dressed appropriately and ready to go at 3 pm sharp.

Today is the last day of open mats. We will practice from 6-7 pm in the high school wrestling room.

Students, please park ONLY in the paved parking lots and NOT on the grass. As the weather changes, we don't want cars to get stuck in the grass. You may park in the main student parking lot, the sophomore parking lot, and the stadium parking lot.

Project Unity will be meeting this Wednesday, November 10th in the room inside the Library right after school. We hope to see you there!
