Did you know the 2023 Women’s History Month theme is Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories? Remember that your money for the RTA t-shirt sale is due any day before Thursday to the concession stand.

Congratulations to basketball seniors Ari Crockett and Lexie Canning for earning 1st Team all Suburban League and to sophomore Julia Nash for earning Honorable Mention. Come watch Lexie and Ari one more time as they play in the area All Star game on the 14th at Norton High School at 6:00!

Congratulations to three of our Teaching Professions students who qualified for states at our Educators Rising Conference. Kor Allen, Breanna Fishl and Gwen Rogers competed this week in Columbus at Capital University. Gwen Rogers placed 2nd in the State of Ohio for her lesson plan and delivery in a CTE classroom. Also participating at states were six of our future teachers, Claire Galossi, Emma Arthur, Lauren Frey, Alli Sabastiani, Emily Forsyth and Lexi Smith. These six students created an amazing escape room that was maxed out in attendance for two sessions. Congratulations to all of our Future Teachers!

Madrid, Barcelona and Seville! Senora Wilson and Senora Knight are leading a spring break 2024 trip to Spain. Informational meetings will be held on Wednesday, March 15th and Wednesday, April 5th at 6:00 p.m. in Room 216. See Senora Knight for more information.

Driver Ed is back! If you are a student who is 15 years and 5 months of age or older, you can attend the National Driver Training Schools Driver Education classes. They will run from April 24th through May 10th. Classes will be held from 2:45-7:00 pm in the CTE wing. For more information, please see Ms. Creamer in the Career Education Office in Room 171.

Gloria Steinhem led the women’s liberation movements throughout the 60’s and 70’s and continues to do so today. In honor of Women’s History Month, RTA is doing a t-shirt sale to support safer futures. Head on down to the concession stand during your lunch period to pre-order!

Tomorrow is International Women's Day. People around the world will celebrate the achievements of women and how far they have come in the fight for their rights.
