
It’s BINGO time! The TRHS Student Council invites ALL of you to take out your BINGO cards that you should have received in your first period class today. Make sure to write your name on the back. At this time, we’re going to call out the first 10 numbers. As numbers are called, mark off any that you have on your card (and don’t forget to mark your FREE space). If you get BINGO, bring your winning card to the Activities Office during your lunch period to claim your prize and a tally for your class. Here are the first 10 numbers . . . Attention Dungeons and Dragons Club members: Let's spread the word about our club to new players for next year! If you would like to help at the 8th Grade Open House table this Thursday, February 2 from 7-8:30pm, please let Mrs. Mast know early this week or respond to the post in Google Classroom. We can order pizza for any students who need to stay through dinner.

Hey Rough Riders, LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Our Winter Rumble Class Competition week starts TODAY! Multiple competitions will be going on throughout the week including our Dodgeball tournament TONIGHT which will be held in the auxiliary gym at 7pm. Check out the concession stand during all lunch periods to donate to your class for the change wars. All money raised will be donated to Special Olympics. Teddy’s Staff Trivia is also open so make sure to go take the quiz! Everybody looks great dressed up in the fire and ice theme today! Make sure to wear your class colors for tomorrow’s theme. For more information on the Winter Rumble, look in your class google classroom or on the class boards in the cafeteria and make sure to look at the display case outside the activities office to see how your class is doing.

If you have not turned in your visitation form or need a visitation form, go to the guidance office to complete a form today. Six District Educational Compact visit forms must be turned to visit programs outside of Theodore Roosevelt. The final step is to apply by going to www.sixdistrict.com or www.rhscte.net.

Both the men and women's swm and dive team ended their dual meet season with a victory over Cuyahoga Falls last night. The women finished with a 6-4 record and the men with an 8-2 record. Great job Rough Riders

Hey Rough Riders! The winter dance is coming up soon. It will be held here in the cafeteria next Saturday, February 4. This dance is open to Roosevelt students and Roosevelt CTE students ONLY so no outside guests. Tickets will be $10 and will be PRESALE ONLY, meaning you will not be able to purchase a ticket at the door the night of the dance. Tickets will only be sold during lunches next week at the concession stand so make sure you purchase one before they’re all gone.

Want to join a LIT and EPIC club? Join chess club! Chess club is so fire! You just have to stop, drop and roll down to room 214 on Wednesdays after school.

Congratulations to our Men & Women’s Swimming and Diving team for ending their home meet season with a victory over CVCA. Also congratulations to our seniors; Zoe Bailey, Gage Bailey, Emma Bloebaum, Lily Schiller-Stacey, Sedona McQueen, Drew Camara for being our honorary swimmers of the meet. RHS Sophomore Jordan Casterline recently composed a poem during a visit from the Wick Poetry Center to Roosevelt's Poetry Writing course that appears on their Dear Ukraine website. Wick is currently designing the exhibit with about 25 poems from students and people of all ages from around the world for the Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage room in the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
Jordan's poem will be featured in a set of greeting cards from the exhibit that will be sold with 100% of the profits going to support Ukraine. Here is her poem:
I reach for you, Ukraine.
A choir of wounds and debris,
your song reaches for me, and I
will sing along,
as loud as you need.

Never refuse to re-use! TRHS RTA is collecting plastic bags to make a “Bench for Bonnie”. Bring in any plastic bags you have to Ms. Puhalla in Room 127 to support Ms. Bonnie and mother nature.

Hey Roosevelt! Rowdy Rough Volleyball and the Dodgeball tournament are coming up next week. Be sure to grab a sheet either in the activities office or on the student council board in the cafeteria to sign up. Forms and payment for both will be due this Friday, January 27.
