Reminder if you are registering to take the PSAT: Date of test is Oct 22, and will be taken here in the multipurpose room. You will use your chromebook. The cost is $19 through PaySchools. Spots are limited so sign up early. Registration opens Sept 29th and closes Oct 14. Questions can be answered in the counseling office.

Sophomore/Junior Parent night Wednesday September 23rd 7pm in the auditorium. The program will provide guidance and resources to help families navigate the important middle years of high school.

Hey Juniors & Seniors! Ms. Evanson is side-eyeing that empty signup sheet. Why hasn’t anyone claimed a seat yet?! The Northeast Ohio College & Career Fair is rolling into KSU on October 1st and only 50 golden spots are up for grabs. Sign up outside Ms. Evanson’s office by Thursday, Sept. 25th before those seats disappear faster than free pizza at lunch. Underclassmen… we love you, but this one’s upperclass-only.

Our Theodore Roosevelt High School student lot will be closed this Friday night, September 19th, after the football game, and will reopen at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Please make sure that your vehicle is out of the student lot after the football game.

2. The cafeteria entrance pick up/drop off lanes will REMAIN OPEN.

All Seniors will attend their first Senior Class Assembly on Tuesday, September 16, during 2nd period. They will be receiving information on senior year events, graduation and credits needed, cap and gown orders, diploma cards, and more! Students should report directly to the auditorium after 1st period. Teachers with all senior classes 2nd period are asked to attend to help with supervision. If the assembly ends before the end of the period, the students will return to their 2nd period class.

Staff Shout Out: Mr. King- Mr. King received a shout for being a great influence on students. He greets students at the door and spends extra time for those who need it. Thanks for making TRHS a great place Mr. King!

Mother Earth is calling out for you! Come join the RHS Environmental Club on Mondays after school in Room 211. At our next meeting, we'll be preparing our banner for the Homecoming Parade and potting baby plants. Hope to see you there!

Ready…Set…GO! Applications are now LIVE for the 40th Annual TRHS Leadership Retreat- Racing into Leadership. Students in grades 10, 11, and 12 can apply! The link is in your Google classroom, email, or Student Square! So rev your engines and check your calendar! The retreat is on October 30 through November 1. Apply now and pay the $25 dollar deposit to secure one of the 102 spots. We hope to see you all there to advance your leadership!

Congratulations to our 2025 Homecoming Court! All court members should come to the Activities Office at 2:10 pm to receive specific information and take a group photo. All students can vote for the Homecoming King and Queen next week. The king and queen crowning will take place during halftime at the football game Friday night.

Additionally, Adventure Awaits at this year’s Homecoming Dance!! Tickets will be on sale next week, Tuesday through Friday during lunch periods. Buy your tickets early to avoid the long lines.

Roosevelt Cross Country had some impressive performances last weekend at the Rocket Invitational in Streetsboro. The Rough Rider girls team raced strongly in a competitive field, with both Pearl Kagabo and Anya Young running their personal best times! The Rough Rider boys edged out Norton to take runner up in the field of seven teams. Senior Carter Stevenson led from the start, finishing in a personal best of 16:31! Also scoring points for the team were Chris Plough, Colt Jurovcik, Harri Wunderle, and Jacob Dunfee. Great work, Rough Riders!
The team heads to Boardman on Saturday to compete in the Spartan Invitational.
