
Today is the last day for this year’s food drive! We still need 4,000 cans to reach our goal for no homework! We CAN do it! Thanks to everyone who gave food to help out Kent Social Services!

Just a reminder that today is the last day to purchase tickets to the Fall One Act Festival! It’s the only place where you can see a lazy teenager, a cat, bigfoot and the end of the world in one place! Tickets are sold for $5.00 at all lunch periods and $7.00 at the door.

RTA Bake Sale Monday, Nov. 22! Do you have a sweet tooth? Come to the cafeteria on Monday after school where Riders Taking Action will be selling seasonal sweets.

CAN you believe the canned food drive is almost over? With just two days left, the seniors have racked up 2,264 cans! Both the seniors and juniors brought over 400 cans each yesterday, making the school total 4796! The sophomores are nearing the 1,000 mark with 820 cans. KEEP BRINGING CANS!

Students who are taking State tests starting Nov 29th, the day we get back after Thanksgiving break, please remember to bring your chrome books charged and earbuds that plug in. Bluetooth capabilities will not work. If you would like to practice. There are practice tests available in the secure browser. If you have any questions about times and locations please stop by and see Mrs. Jay D'Aurelio in room 112.

NHS Meeting Nov. 18. Attention National Honor Society members: We will meet after school in the Band Room TODAY!

Softball Meeting Friday, Nov. 19! If you are interested in playing Softball this spring stop in the cafeteria after school this Friday to talk to Coach Masters.

And now for a canned food drive update…although the Freshman Class and Mrs. Watt’s stash have not been counted, it would appear that the Seniors are in the lead with over 1800 cans! The Juniors are a few hundred cans behind, but we still have a ways to go to reach 10,000. Keep CAN-paigning Riders!

Let’s keep the canned food drive rolling this week! Our first official can count is today, but we know some classes have over 1,000 cans! Wear your neon and bright colors to school tomorrow to “Highlight Hunger” and bring what you CAN!

Tickets for the Drama Guild’s FALL ONE ACT FESTIVAL will be available during all lunch periods this week. Advance tickets are only $5, and tickets purchased at the door will be $7.

TODAY IS THE FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF WRESTLING....Practice will be at Stanton Middle School in the Upstair Gymnasium at 3:00 Sharp! See You Then!

In 2020, over 38 million people faced hunger in the United States, including more than 12 million children. Help out our community by bringing nonperishables for our canned food drive next week! If our school meets our goal of 10,000 cans, there will be no homework over Thanksgiving Break! We CAN do it!

Baby, Baby, Baby!! Seniors turn in your baby photo to the yearbook class by Thanksgiving Break! How, you may ask? Use the Google form that was sent out or the QR code that is posted around the school. Send it today!

Today is picture retake day! Didn’t get a picture taken on School Picture Day? Don’t like the way your picture turned out? Head to the Auditorium TODAY during your lunch period to get your photo taken!!

Kent Social Services serves hot meals 5 days a week to Kent families in need. If every single person at our school brings in 8 cans, we can reach our goal of 10,000 items, and end Longcoy’s reign as the top can collector in the district. Let’s show the elementary schools that TRHS has a CAN-DO attitude!

Interested in playing Boys Volleyball in the spring? There will be an open gym on Tuesday Nov 16th from 7:00-8:30 at Stanton.

The FALL ONE ACT FESTIVAL hits the stage next week with performances on Thursday November 18th thru Saturday November 20th. Tickets will be sold during all lunches next week. Seating is limited so be sure to nab your tickets early!!

Attention Silent Auction team members, we will not be having our weekly Silent Auction meeting on 11/10/21. Continue to call and contact places and people to gain more donations. Thank you for all your hard work, we are making good progress!

22% of Kent families served at Kent Social Services have children who are food insecure. You CAN make a difference by bringing in nonperishables to help out our community. We especially need gravy, corn muffin mix, pie filling, applesauce, dried onions, chicken broth cans, cream of mushroom soup, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, stuffing, canned yams/sweet potatoes, green beans, and corn! Share what you CAN!
