Congratulations to our Rough Rider boys basketball team for winning on the road Friday at Barberton by a final score of 54-50. The Riders were led by Tyrel Ellington with 11 points and Jayden Reynolds with 10 points. The boys continue conference play tomorrow at Copley. Go Riders!

Congrats to the Lady Riders Basketball team for a win Saturday against Barberton 49-34. Led by Lexie Canning with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Ari Crockett with 14 points, and Katie Keller with key plays throughout to seal the victory. Riders back in action Wednesday and Thursday as they take a road trip to Copley and then Cloverleaf.

Congrats to the JV Lady Riders basketball team with their 47-24 win over Barberton on Saturday led by Arie Wilson with 24 points and 5-5 three point shooting! Copley next on Wednesday.

The Young Rough Rider Wrestling Team lost two hard-fought battles last night at Tallmadge High School. The score was not indicative of the physical toughness our wrestlers displayed. Leading the charge for the Rough Riders was Junior Carson D'Sidocky who was 3-0 last night. Seniors Ricky Legg and Jason Ponick were 2-0. The Wrestlers will be in Columbus this weekend at the Kilted Classic Wrestling Championships.

The Boys and Girls Bowling teams both defeated Wadsworth yesterday at Kent Lanes. The boys snuck away with a close victory of just 30 pins . The girls team won 2,139 pinfall to 1,647. Ali Grove led the way with a 386 set and high game of 211. Tara Sefchick had a set of 353, Jillian Eden went 340, Paige Robinson had a 330, and Ryleigh Balan rolled a 308 set. The next home bowling match is Monday, December 13 against North Royalton at 4:00 p.m. Admission is free for anyone that wants to come out and support our Bowling Teams!

Student Council is hosting Teddy on the Shelf the week of Dec.13-17. Teddy will be hidden inside Roosevelt High School. Find Teddy and bring him to room 172 for a prize. Stay tuned by following Instagram @TRHS.stuco and twitter trhs_stuco. Be on the lookout for Teddy!

Attention juniors! Are you interested in attending the Buckeye Boys or Girls State Conference this summer? It’s a paid-for opportunity that gives you the experience of leadership/management training, with further opportunity for scholarships. If the answer is yes, please let ALL your teachers know of your interest TODAY! Teachers will be nominating students today through Tuesday, December 14. Any juniors with specific questions about Boys and Girls State are encouraged to talk to any social studies teacher, Mrs. Jurging, or one of last year’s representatives.
