Opening CTE Plan

Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School Career-Technical Education program schedule for Fall 2020 is based on our concern for the health and safety of our students, teachers and staff. The current format is as follows:

Computer Aided Design & Engineering Technologies (CADET); Construction Technologies; Forestry & Landscape Management (F&LM); and Health Careers Technologies (HCT) will run four days a week face-to-face, T-F. Monday would be online. The Engineering Academy will run three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Athletic Health Care & Fitness (AHCF), Business & Sports Management (B&SM), Cosmetology, Electronics Robotics & Programming (ERP); Marketing, and Teaching Professions the current plan is to utilize the hybrid model. Splitting into two groups A and B; two days per group face-to-face (A-Tuesday and Thursday, B-Wednesday and Friday) and three days online (A-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, B-Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).

100% online students will be notified of the start of synchronous (required learning at a specific time in real-time) and asynchronous (material is provided in a self-guided fashion with a specific due date for assignments). Some programs will not be able to provide this option.
