Vaccine Clinic on Monday, December 6. If this is your child's first dose, you will need a consent form that must be turned into our clinic by Monday morning. Please call the office if you need this form. If this is your child's second dose, you do not need another consent form. Your appointment time is the same as the first dose. If you are unable to make the clinic on Monday, December 6, you may attend the clinic at Dewitt Elementary School in Cuyahoga Falls on January 4 from 5:00 pm to 6:45 pm. This is a walk-in clinic. If you have not scheduled an appointment to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference, please call the office at 330-676-8300 as soon as possible to schedule your conference. If you do not schedule an appointment by October 22, an appointment time will be scheduled for you and a notice sent home with your child. Conferences are Thursday, November 4 and 11, in the evening and Tuesday, November 23, during school hours. Students WILL have classes on Monday, November 22. Students will not have classes on Tuesday, November 23, so that teachers and parents will have meeting time. Thanksgiving break will be from Wednesday, November 24, through Friday, November 26. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29.

Beginning Wednesday morning, October 13, car riders and walkers will be taking an alternate route both entering and exiting the building. The doors we are currently using are temporarily closed during construction. Students will take a route across the playground and enter the recess doors off the primary hallway. The car rider line will remain in the same spot, and parents waiting for walking students will continue to wait on the playground. Race for Education is tomorrow! Please dress your child in light weight, comfortable clothing and athletic shoes. Don't forget a water bottle!

October 7 is Early Release Day! Dismissal at 1:00 PM. Buses will be running as usual. NO SCHOOL on October 8! Have a great weekend!

REMINDER! We have a limited water bottle supply, so please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle. Please send your child to school with a mask as well. We are thankful for all the wonderful donors who have helped with our mask and water bottle reserves!

We would like to remind all parents and guardians to please keep your child(ren) home if they are not feeling well or are showing any signs of illness which include, runny/stuffy nose; sneezing; coughing; fever; nausea/vomiting/diarrhea; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; headache; sore throat; chills and body aches; new loss of taste or smell. If students come to school with any of these symptoms, they will be sent home immediately. In order to return to the classroom, the student must have a doctor's note or a negative COVID test. Documentation must be provided for the negative COVID test.

Come and enjoy a hotdog outside on the playground and get to know your school community on Friday, September 3, from 5:00-6:30. WSA is hosting its annual Back-to-School Family Cookout at Walls School. Bring the family down to enjoy a free hotdog, chips, and water bottle. Although there is no charge, donations are happily accepted. We will have our picture backdrop from supply night up and a handful of raffle items on hand. Afterwards, head to the away game of our Rough Riders football team taking on its rival, the Ravenna Ravens!

Good Morning Walls Family, This message contains specific information about dismissal from school. *Walkers and car riders are dismissed out of our two recess doors. If your child is a WALKER and you want to meet him/her to walk home, you MUST meet on the playground. Students who walk home down Doramor (front of school) may exit the front doors, but there will be NO PARENT PICKUP ON THE FRONT SIDEWALK. The bus riders exit the front of the building to board one of 8 busses coming to Walls, and we need this path clear for a safe dismissal. We apologize for the confusion during our dismissal yesterday and ask for your patience as we work together with the staff of Walls, our student safety patrol, and our transportation department to get your child home safely! Thank you for sharing your children with us at Walls Elementary School.

Please remember to send your child to school with a mask on and his/her own water bottle! We're excited to see the students!

The first day of school for grades 1-5 is Wednesday, August 25th. Kindergarten Orientation is Friday, August 27th and the Kindergarten first day of school is Monday, August 30th. See you soon!
