Walls Elementary

The time has come for our annual CANNED FOOD DRIVE! Donations will benefit Kent Social Services. Your child may bring in non-expired/non-perishable food items and turn them in to the classroom teacher. Collections will take place from November 14 through November 18. We are focusing this year on YAMS and GRAVY! The class with the most donations will win a special class prize! If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Slater in the School Counseling Office at 330-676-8320. Thank you for your support!

Picture Retake Day is coming up on Monday, November 7. If you are having your child's picture retaken, please turn in the original picture package on retake day. Early Release on Thursday, February 17, at 1:00 p.m. The bus schedule will run as usual beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Music Concert Grades 3, 1 and 5 will be Thursday, February 10. Grade 3 will perform at 6:00 pm; Grade 1 at 6:30 pm; and Grade 5 at 7:00 pm. All performances will be in the school gym. Students should report to their classrooms 15 minutes prior to their performance time.

For the last several days, due to the cold temperatures and deep snow, we have been having indoor recess. On Thursday, the temperature should be such that we will have outdoor recess. Please be sure that your child comes to school appropriately dressed with a warm coat, hat, gloves and boots and/or snow pants if you have them. If you need assistance with any of these items, please call the office.

The Walls Jump Rope team will be performing at the RHS varsity boys' basketball game on Friday, January 14. You may purchase tickets for $1 at Walls. Cash only. NO SCHOOL on Friday (January 14)!

Make-up day for the Holiday Shop is Wednesday, December 8. Students who were absent or forgot their money on their scheduled day may shop in the morning or during their recess/lunch time.
