The 6th grade student council is doing a winter gear drive October 25-29. We want to help homeless shelters and donate winter gear so that people in need can stay warm through this year's winter. It is scary to realize that only 65% of homeless people in America are sheltered. You can help these homeless people in the community to stay warm throughout this cold season by donating gently used or new coats, hats and gloves. The homeroom who gives the most donations will win a prize. Getting rid of a hat or a pair of gloves may not seem like a big deal to you, however, donating to these people can help them a lot and it means so much to them to get donated clothes for their warmth, well being, and comfort.
