Dear Parents & Students,

You no longer have to make a trip up to Stanton to view student homerooms. To view student homerooms and schedules, please login to ProgressBook starting on Friday August 20th after 3 p.m. If you would still like to see the homerooms listed in person, they will be posted on the SMS event entrance doors near the gym. If you have any questions about your ProgressBook login, please email Ms. Janet Creamer at jcreamer@kentschools.net. A printed schedule will be provided to students in their homerooms once they arrive at school. Teachers, administrators and counselors will all be available to help students get into their homerooms on the first day of school.

6th Grade students should have already received letters with information about their teams and team orientations. If you did not receive your letter, please contact Mr. Goshe at jgoshe@kentschools.net . 6th grade Team Orientation Videos will be posted on Monday August 23, 2021 on the SMS website by 6 p.m. The 6th grade parent orientation video is currently available on the SMS Counseling Department website if you were not able to attend one of the sessions in the spring.

7th and 8th grade students do not receive letters from their teams. 7th and 8th grade students can view their schedules by logging into ProgressBook beginning August 20th after 3 p.m.. If you have any questions or concerns about schedules once they are viewable, please email the correct grade level counselor by going to the SMS Counseling Department website (see above menu bar).

Each student has a school Gmail account that is vital for communicating with school staff, logging into ProgressBook, and entering into Google Classrooms. Each student's email account is their 6-digit student ID number followed by @kentschools.net. The password for each student is Kcsd followed by the student's 4 digit lunch pin number. Students will be re-taught how to log into their Gmail accounts during the first week of school when they are provided with Chromebooks.

As a reminder, masks are required to enter the building at SMS.
