WAYS TO HELP AT HOME:

-Make sure you go over safety at home. Travel safety and stranger safety are important; talk to your child about how to respond to a call or a knock on the door if she is home alone.

-Encourage your child to say “no” to drugs (cigarettes, alcohol, vape pens etc.) and yes to healthy activities

-Be sure your child knows it is never okay to take medicine on their own.

-Keep communication open. Create an atmosphere where your child can tell you if anyone has pressured them to make unhealthy choices.

-Serve as a role model. Keep up on healthy habits in your life.

I hope this is helpful. Remember that I am here to help your child and your family. Please feel free to contact me whenever you are concerned for your child’s emotional health.
