The Makers of Tomorrow Engineering Summer Camp is for students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, where they will work in teams to dream, design, and prototype. Students will participate in work site visits, work with Kent City Schools faculty, and learn more about careers in engineering and advanced manufacturing. Throughout the one-week program students will learn engineering principles and hone their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will gain experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs, work on state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, and discover their future career opportunities in engineering.

The Ben Curtis Foundation is hosting a Rough Rider Run on Sunday, May 5, 2019. There will be a 5K race and fun run. All proceeds benefit the Ben Curtis Family Foundation and the students they serve!! Register by April 30th!
Portage County Job and Family Services is hosting two events in April for Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness month. The first is Friday, April 5 from 4:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday, April 6 from 12:00pm-5:00pm at Ravenna 7 movie theater. Moviegoers can participate in fun events before and after the premiere of Shazam!
The other event is a Family Fun Day Saturday, April 13 at Brown Middle School (in Ravenna) from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
