Legacy Team 4/6/20

Dear 6th Grade Legacy Parents,

We hope this letter finds you and your family well. With the current Covid-19 health threat and Governor DeWine’s ordered school closings, 6th grade will look a little different moving forward. With every challenge come new opportunities. Our intention, as a 6th grade team, is to continue to provide learning opportunities for our students. We understand that nothing can replace students and teachers being “together” in an actual classroom. However, we are working hard to come up with some alternatives that we think will work in our current situation.

ALL CLASSES WILL BE ON GOOGLE CLASSROOM – (Beginning April 6th) following schedule of classes:

**Important that students check Google Classroom regularly and Miss Canter’s Blog, to see assignments posted and any other information from teachers**

MONDAY:  Miss Canter –LANGUAGE ARTS – 9:00-11:00

TUESDAY: Mrs. Prelog – MATH – 9:00-11:00

WEDNESDAY: Mrs. Geraghty –SOCIAL STUDIES – 9:00-11:00

THURSDAY: Mrs. Mackanos –SCIENCE – 9:00 -11:00

FRIDAY: SPECIAL AREA classes – students work on any of those classes. Get caught up in any area.

Students receiving interventions  via  IEPs – Mrs. Brewer will be contacting you personally to discuss best way to implement your child’s goals and objectives.

Students will work on those subjects on the above days. Teachers will be available for any questions during those times as well via email, or Google Meets, if scheduled by that teacher. Students can also individually email their teachers throughout the week with any questions they may have. Feel free to work on any subject at any time and day, if the 9:00-11:00 time frame doesn’t work for your family. This is meant to give your child a sense of “routine.” We understand life circumstances will get in the way of that at times. All work will be checked for: Meets Expectations or Does not meet Expectations.
