Senior Yearbook Photo Special Offer

sketch studio of kent is offering a senior special for all those 12th graders that are running out of time for their senior portraits.

FREE: Chinese Martial Arts Show at E.J. Thomas Hall

Not many things in life are free, but the Chinese Martial Arts and Folk Music Show at the University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall is!

The free performance is this Wednesday, February 3, starting at 7:15 p.m. Tickets can be picked up at the E.J. Thomas ticket window the night of the show.

2011 Prom Chairs

Sophomores!  Sophomores! Sophomores!  We are looking for Prom Chairs for Prom 2011.  Pick up an application in the Activities Office today and make sure to turn it in by Friday, Feb 5th to room 112 or Mrs. Dreher’s mailbox.  Interviews are Monday, February 8th right after school.

Career Technical Education Assembly

Good morning Sophomores!  This Friday, February 5, sophomores with last names A through L will be dismissed during first period to the auditorium for a Career Technical Education presentation and a tour of the classrooms.  Sophomores with last names M through Z and all Bridges students will attend this presentation and tour during periods 3 and 4.  An announcement will be made dismissing the first period students.  Third period students should report directly to the auditorium.  Attendance is mandatory and attendance will be taken.

Girls Bowling Wins Metro!

Varsity Girls Bowling won the PTC Metro with a perfect 8 and 0 season by beating Coventry Wednesday.  Top scorers were Tanjenae Harris with a 222 and Liz Persuhn 191.  Boys Varsity increased their record to 7 and 1 behind Joe Swanson’s 241, Bradon Klembus 227 and Jon Miller 225.  Good luck at the PTC Tournament February 6th at Bill White’s Akron Bowl.

Important Senior Slide Show Information

Hey Seniors!  Want to be in the Senior Slideshow?  Turn your pictures in to the box in the Activities Office.  Due dates will be as follows:

  • Baby Pictures: February 1-5
  • Elementary School Pictures: February 8-12
  • Middle School Pictures: February 16-19
  • High School Pictures: February 20-26
  • New York Retreat pictuers and senior pictures will be the last to be collected at a date to be announced.

Put your name and 4th and 5th period room number on the back if you want your pictures returned.
