Do you enjoy dancing? Would you like to perform at halftime at football games? Come check out the Roosevelt Colorguard! Clinics begin Monday, May 17th to the 21st starting in the Band Room. Tryouts will be held on Monday, May 24th. You must attend on dance/body movement clinic and one Colorguard fundamentals clinic to qualify for tryouts.

Final Senior Assembly
The Final Senior Guidance/Working Assembly is planned for Tuesday, May 11. Seniors will be called to the auditorium at 7:40 a.m. and remain there for 1st and 2nd periods. Immediately following the presentation and collection of information and surveys in the auditorium, members of the Kent Women’s Club will serve muffins, sweet rolls and juice at a short reception for seniors only in the auditorium atrium. We are extremely appreciative of the efforts of the Kent Women’s Club to recognize the Class of 2010. Both the <i> Outstanding Teenage Volunteer Award and the Fred Thomas Citizenship Award will be announced at this assembly, as well. Thanks to all who submitted nominations for these two awards!
POPs Tickets
POPs 2010 is right around the corner. Pre-sale tickets go on sale to the general public next Tuesday, May 11 before school (6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.) in the choir room and at lunch (10:10 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.) in the choir room. $6.00 students and senior citizens and $8.00 adults.
Congratulations Track!!!!
If you misses last evening, the Men’s and Women’s Track Teams marched into the Crestwood and defeated the previously unbeaten Red Devils. An outstanding team effort helped propel the Men’s and Women’s programs. Great job! The Women’s Program finishes undefeated in the conference!!

Prom Car Wash
Attention all Prom attendees and teachers! Get your car washed before Prom on Saturday from 9 to noon. Don’t embarrass yourself driving to Prom in a dirty car. Latin Club meeting – for real this time!
Tennis PTC Champs!
On Saturday, the Boy’s Tennis Team placed 1st in the PTC Tournament, with 1st place finishes by Mikky Subba at 2nd singles, Corey Damron and Joe Rubino at 1st doubles and Drew Wilfong and Matt Bradford at 2nd doubles. With this victory, the boys also won overall PTC Champions! Great job guys!
Lady Tracksters
Congratulations to Lakeview Champions Devan Mercer, Maggie Connell, and Hannah Sampson for leading the Lady Tracksters to a second place finish Saturday.
Special Olympics
The Special Olympics team competed in the district track meet this Saturday at Akron Hoban High School. Qualifying for the state meet were: Nick Menasian, Chris Lewis, Chris Powell, Laura Smith, Maria Lefler, Andrew Sickle and Robert Lisonbee. Congratulations and good luck at the state meet!
