The Tree City Triathlon for Kids ages 5-17, which will feature swimming, biking and running events will be held at Roosevelt this year on Saturday, July 10th. Registration forms are available in the Activities Office. For more information go to treecitytriathlon.com

The RHS Retro Uniform Sale is back by popular demand!!! If you missed the Retro Uniform Sale, you have another chance to make some purchases this Saturday, May 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 at the Sports Physicals!

A great start to the Conference meet in Track and Field places the Women in 1st and the men in 2nd going in to Saturday’s finals. Conference Champions-Ryan Anderson, Kassondra Spangler led the Tracksters.

Attention students: The one week ACE Aviation Academy at Kent State University is open to all high school students and will be held June 14th – 18th. You will fly a Cessna plane, take a tour of the Continental Airlines Headquarters, visit the Air Traffic Control Tower at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, see new research NASA Glenn Center and explore a variety of helicopters and flight operations at the Ohio National Guard Center at Akron Canton Airport. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
Calling all leaders who want to pass on Roosevelt traditions, give sound advice, and provide positive support. It’s that time of year when current sophomores and juniors can stand up and accept the challenge of helping next year’s freshmen make a positive transition into high school life. You will have the opportunity to help with the Freshman Kick Off in August as well as the Freshman Retreats in November. If you would like to apply to be a RHS Sharing Common Ground Mentor, you can pick up an application packet in the activities office. The applications are due by May 21st, so don’t wait too long to answer your call to duty. Please contact Mrs. Foreman or Mrs. Larkin, if you have any questions.

Attention all students- all students who have had a GPA of 3.4 or higher for each grading period are invited to the Roosevelt Scholars Program on Tuesday, May 18th. The list of eligible students is posted on the Guidance Showcase. Please check the list. If you think you are eligible and your name is not posted or if your name is listed but you think the award level is wrong, notify the Guidance department as soon as possible and they will let you know if you qualify and at what level. Also, please check the spelling of your name so it is correct in the program. Let Mrs. Fisher in the Guidance office know of any changes by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 13th.
Do you enjoy dancing? Would you like to perform at halftime at football games? Come check out the Roosevelt Colorguard! Clinics begin Monday, May 17th to the 21st starting in the Band Room. Tryouts will be held on Monday, May 24th. You must attend on dance/body movement clinic and one Colorguard fundamentals clinic to qualify for tryouts.
