Bowling Team
Tryouts start Friday November 2nd at Kent Lanes 3:30 – 5:00. All required paperwork from physicals and EMA’s must be turned in to Mr. Slattery in Rm 137 by Friday. Tryouts continue Monday November 5 and Wednesday the 7th.

Boys Baketball tryouts will begin Saturday morning for those not playing football. Freshmen tryouts will be from 7 – 8:30 AM and 10th – 12thth grade will be from 8:30 – 10:00 AM
Playoff Football tickets for Friday nights game will be on sale today thru Friday all day until 3:00 in the Activities Office. All tickets are $7.00 pre-sale and $9.00 at the gate. No passes will be honored at this game. Tickets are cash only – NO CHECKS.
Red Ribbon Week!
This week is the nationwide celebration of Red Ribbon Week! What is Red Ribbon Week? Red Ribbon Week anti-drug campaign and a celebration of drug-free lifestyles, “no use of illegal drugs and no illegal use of legal drugs”. Did you know that despite what some people may think, the majority of teens DO NOT USE DRUGS! Stop by the red ribbon information table tomorrow during your lunch and pick up a red ribbon. Riders, stay in the majority and above the influence.
Kent-Ravenna Football Game Tickets
Tickets for this year’s Kent-Ravenna Football game will go on sale at both high schools on Wednesday, October 24th beginning at 7:30 AM and continue each day during school hours throughout the week. Adult tickets will sell for $6.00 and students for $4.00. All remaining tickets will sell at the gate on Friday night at Roosevelt Stadium for $6.00. Fans with passes may be subject to sell out restrictions the night of the game.
Norton Football Pre-Sale Tickets
Buy your pre-sale football tickets for this tonight’s game at Norton. Only student tickets will be pre-sold and are $4.00. All tickets will be $6.00 at the game. Pre-sale tickets will be available today during lunch and right after school only.

Congratulations to Sarah Mikati!
Congratulations to Sarah Mikati! She has been selected to represent Theodore Roosevelt High School as the Portage County Teen Board Representative. Sarah will be working with other teen leaders of neighboring schools to select a male and female Portage County Teen of the Month during the 2012-2013 school year.

Attention all students who are required to take any of the Ohio Graduation Tests next week. We will be administering OGTs beginning Monday at 7:30 in the back of the auditorium. Please check the letter that you received at your home for the tests you must take. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Silver in the guidance office.
Youth Leadership Portage County
Congratulations to Maggie Church, Andrew Hammond and Imani Sales! These students were selected to participate in Youth Leadership Portage County which is a program that gives participants the opportunity to explore the county and what it has to offer as well as develop leadership skills to use back at school and in the community.

Oct. 4th in Guidance
Today in Guidance, we are hosting representatives from two universities in the area. At 9:15 this morning, a representative from Northeastern Ohio Medical University – NEOMED in Rootstown. Our second university rep today is from Case Western Reserve University at 12:45. That’s NEOMED at 9:15 and then Case at 12:45. Interested students should come to the Guidance Office at the appropriate time.
