Environmental Club Petition
Did you know that Styrofoam contains chemicals like styrene and benzene that are hazardous to your health? And…these chemicals ooze into the foods we consume from Styrofoam trays in our cafeteria. If you are interested in helping to stop the use of Styrofoam trays in our school, please see a member of the Environmental Club during lunch to sign a petition. Petitions are also available through Mr. Carman or Mrs. Wolf in the Assistant Principal’s office.
Makeup Crew Applications
Makeup crew applications for the fall play are available in the Scene Shop. They are due to Mrs. Kaplan by this Thursday, October 4th.
Freshman Football Kickoff 7:00 p.m. 9/27
Kick off has been moved to 7:00 for the Freshman Football team as they take on Streetsboro tonight. That’s Freshman Football game has been moved to a 7:00 start time tonight.
College Visit is from Hiram College 9/27
Today’s college visit is from Hiram College. A representative will be available in the Guidance Office at 9:15 to answer your questions and give information about their school. Anyone interested in Hiram is invited to attend.
Girls Golf Record 12-2!
The Girls Golf team improved their record to 12 and 2 with a187-211 victory over Nordonia on Senior Night at Twin Lakes. Leading the Lady Riders was Kelly Nielsen who shot 41, Kasey Nielsen who shot 44, Coreena Wise who shot 49 and Katie Morsefield who shot 53. Congratulations to Annie Kenney, the teams only senior on a good season!
Rough Rider Cross Country
CONGRATULATIONS!!! To the Rough Rider Cross Country team on their STELLAR “PR” performances at Wingfoot last night! – With 20 out of 30 runners improving their course time from two weeks ago! Special SHOUT OUTS go to new comer Alex Ledet on his second varsity race of the season, finishing 18th overall and 4th for the team, Solomon St. Clair took 3 and a half minutes off his previous time! Nate Goodhart took 4th against top ranked Woodridge, Dylan Welles finished 2nd for the team and 11th overall. Sarah McClure finished in a season PR of 20:47, 2nd for the team and 6th place finish overall!!! Kaylie Murray took the win with a time of 19 minutes, 24 seconds. Congratulations to all cross country runners on one of their best overall performances of the season!”
Boys Lacrosse Player Meeting 9/27
Attention Boys Lacrosse players- there will be a very important PLAYER meeting in the Library right after school tomorrow in the Library. That’s Boys Lacrosse player meeting, Thursday, September 27th in the Library at 2:40!
Visitor Parking for Football Game at Streetsboro Friday, Sept 28
Spectators should turn onto Kirby Dr. off of S.R. 303 and proceed to Campus Elementary School to park. The visitor’s gate is near Campus Elementary.

Army Fitness Challenge 9/21
Any student wanting to take the Army Fitness Challenge to take home the top prize, stop by the gym during 4th or 6th lunch periods.
Pre-Sale Football Tickets Friday, Sept. 21
Buy your pre-sale football tickets for tonight’s Homecoming game against Field. Student tickets are $4.00 and adult are $6.00. All tickets will be $6.00 at the game. Pre-sale tickets will be available only during lunch and right after school.
ACT Registration Deadline
Juniors and Seniors be aware that the deadline for ACT registration is this Friday – the 21st.
Blood Drive Sign-Up
Don’t forget to sign up this week during your lunch period for the Blood Drive! The Blood Drive will be held Thursday, October 4th. You must be 16 years or older to donate. Each person who donated gets a free t-shirt and saves up to 3 lives.
