Oct. 4th in Guidance
Today in Guidance, we are hosting representatives from two universities in the area. At 9:15 this morning, a representative from Northeastern Ohio Medical University – NEOMED in Rootstown. Our second university rep today is from Case Western Reserve University at 12:45. That’s NEOMED at 9:15 and then Case at 12:45. Interested students should come to the Guidance Office at the appropriate time.

Did you watch the Presidential Debates last night? 18 year olds, it’s nt too late to register to cast your ballot in November. Go to room 114 and pick up a voter registration form by Tuesday, October 9th to qualify to vote!

Fall Choir Concert
Roosevelt’s Choral Department will be presenting their first concert of the year next Tuesday, October 9th at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. All students and staff are welcome to attend and enjoy our 120 talented students showcase their voices. Admission is free.

Congratulations to Michael Kenney who qualified for the District Golf tournament. Michael will play next Wednesday at Pine Hills. If you see him, wish him luck!
CONGRATULATIONS Boys and Girls Cross Country
CONGRATULATIONS once again to the boys and girls cross country teams for their strength and endurance running the hills of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park last Saturday!!!! The boys ran against 31 teams, placing 13th. Nate Goodhart, Alex Ledet, Grant Wang, Nate Condos, and Nathaniel Bailey scored for the varsity boys team. Special shout out to Gordon Stewart on his performance in the JV race, placing first for the rough riders and 51st overall. The girls team took a remarkable 5th place out of 27 teams! Out of 212 runners, Kaylie Murray placed 4th, Sarah McClure placed 15th, Libby Bradford took 18th, Paige Scott 67th place and Alex Marsinek 101st place. Keep moving forward runners – PTC’s are within our reach!!!!
Great Season Girls Golf Team!!
Congratulations to Kasey and Kelly Nielsen who both qualified for the District Golf tournament yesterday. Kasey shot 78 to finish 4th out of 70 golfers. Kelly shot 81 to finish in a tie for 7th. Katie Morsefield shot 96, Coreena Wise 103 and Jocelyn Kohl 104. Great season Girls Golf team!!
SAT Test
All juniors and seniors, the registration deadline for the November SAT is October 4. SAT is offered at Hudson High School among others.

Environmental Club Petition
Did you know that Styrofoam contains chemicals like styrene and benzene that are hazardous to your health? And…these chemicals ooze into the foods we consume from Styrofoam trays in our cafeteria. If you are interested in helping to stop the use of Styrofoam trays in our school, please see a member of the Environmental Club during lunch to sign a petition. Petitions are also available through Mr. Carman or Mrs. Wolf in the Assistant Principal’s office.
