In boys bowling “Teddy’s Boys” were highly motivated to bring their best to Roseland Lanes, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Besting the 2nd place spot by 643 pins, the Roughriders rolled the highest scoring 3 game 6 baker set in school history. 1st Place Series Chris LeSueur 237-255-265 = 757, 2nd Place Kobe Thigpen 279-278-194 = 751, 3rd Place Matt Richards 230-258-223 = 711, 8th Place Carter Troyer 224-173-190 = 587, 17th Place Casey Troyer 186-179-188 = 553. Congrats to supporting teammates Tyler Kirby, Alex Davis and Parker Balan. Excellent effort and result gentlemen!!

The Rough Rider Ice Hockey Team won its 1st OHSAA Tournament game last night by the score of 7 – 0 over Chagrin Falls. Nick Krestan led the way with 4 goals, Jason Sears, Mike Haney, and Gannon Halsne scored the other three goals. Jake Bennett earned the shutout and win in net. Nick Krestan is now tied for 2nd place all time in RHS Hockey history with 134 career goals. He is now tied with his brother Adam Hamilton, and Nick has another chance to reach 135 this Saturday as we take on the #3 team in the state Gilmour at 5:00 pm.
The girls got the job done Saturday securing the third and final spot at sectionals and will compete this Sunday, Feb. 23 at the District Tournament at Stonehedge Lanes. Bowling well for the ladies were Jade Kimmel (215, 188, 139) and Tara Sefchick (160, 182, 187). Congratulations to our boys team as they were Sectional Champs (Compete Saturday, Feb. 22) as well as Suburban League champions.

The Wrestling Team beat Ravenna Last night 61-12. Winning with a pin were: Carson D’Sidocky, Andy Lawson, Phil Freeman, Jason Ponick, Ricky Legg and Sam Tillett won 15-0.

The Wrestling Team beat Smithville 45-38 and Kenmore 57-6 Thursday night. Winning both matches were: Carson D’Sidocky, Sam Tillett, Slyvester Freeman, Phil Freeman, Russell Fertig and Ricky Legg.

Congratulations to the divers for an amazing showing Wednesday at the OHSAA Sectional Meet. Divers Chloe Niesz Kutsch, placing 15th and Anya Ferner placing 8th, advanced to Cleveland State to the District competition Thursday. Great job divers!

THE CHEERLEADERS ARE GOING TO STATES! Congratulations to our cheerleaders for an outstanding performance at Saturday’s regional competition.
