All courses require payment of a tuition fee, and all work satisfactorily completed and certified receives official school credit. Students from Kent and neighboring communities may register. You can sign-up for text messaging from One Call Now by texting the word “alert” to 22300, as long as your cell phone number is already in the One Call Now database. To add your cell phone number or to check the status of your phone numbers and e-mail addresses, please go to the Self Update Portal and sign up or log in to access your information.
One Call Now has a SELF UPDATE PORTAL for you to view and update your contact information.
Go to the One Call Now portal for Kent City Schools and click the “Sign Up” button. The system will walk you through creating and editing your profile. When creating or editing your contact information, be aware of the “Main Contact” box. If a low-priority message about an upcoming event goes out, it will only go to your “Main Contact” number. High priority messages go to all numbers. You can change your “Main Contact” number to the phone where you want to receive the low priority messages.

BUS SCHEDULE for After Exams:
(note that busses will run at their normal time in the morning before exams)
- MONDAY, MAY 21: Bus pick-ups at 12:55 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. (after the third exam and end of day)
- TUESDAY, MAY 22: Bus pick-ups at 11:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (after lunch and end of day)
- WEDNESDAY, MAY 23: Bus pick-ups at 11:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (after lunch and end of day)
Kent State will be hosting an all-girls hackathon on Saturday, March 3rd for girls grades 7 & up. There is no cost to attend but they have limited slots. Registration & additional details can be found at the event website.
I’m thrilled with the school year we’re having and particularly what our yearbook staff is doing to permanently record it for us all. Please be aware that we are proudly partnering with our yearbook publisher, Jostens, over the next week to keep you fully informed of important yearbook matters.
