Gifted Program Update & Upcoming Meeting Info

Dear Students and Parents,

Your teachers and administrators are taking a look at the current Gifted Programming model and processes in the Kent City Schools. We want to understand what is working and what opportunities there are for change so that we can best meet the learning and social/ emotional needs of our gifted students.

To help us better understand the current program and make good decisions for our students, we invite you to share your thoughts, observations, and questions with us through a short survey. There is one for parents, one for students, and one for Kent Schools staff. Your responses are anonymous unless you choose to share your contact information. We invite your responses even if you are not or have not been involved in gifted programming.

In addition, you are invited to attend a parent/community update on January 21 at 7:00 pm in the Stanton Middle School Media Center. We will update interested attendees on the Gifted Program Review process, including an analysis of the current gifted student opportunities and an overview of the Review process. There will also be time for question and answer. Please feel free to send questions/comments ahead of time via the survey or to ke_krumley@kentschools.net

Thank you for your support for our gifted students and their learning opportunities. We hope to hear from you through the survey or on the 21st!
