NHS students provide tutoring to other students who may need additional help in a class. Tutoring is provided before, during, or after the school day, depending on availability.
Peer tutors will NOT complete homework for a student, but help a student understand concepts or assist in explaining coursework. Tutoring can be short or long term as needed.
To get a tutor, students should either talk to their teacher, the guidance counselors, or a principal. Any staff member can make a student referral.
Students who have been referred or would like to get help on their own, please complete the student information form.
Are you a part of NHS and would like to volunteer? Fill out a volunteer form.

Theodore Roosevelt High School is excited to now be utilizing Naviance Family Connection, a phenomenal tool for college and career planning. Naviance Family Connection has tools for students to take career interest inventories, explore careers, search for colleges, majors, and so much more. It is a great one-stop shop to find out about topics such as scholarship opportunities, when various college representatives are visiting our school, and other important Guidance announcements. It also, assists with the college application process and allows students to request their transcripts electronically.
