Holden Scholars for December

Thank you to the following volunteers that helped usher the basketball games this past week.  We will be selecting first semester winners from the raffle before winter break.   Winners will be notified by phone.  We are giving away family passes for bowling, movie theater and Kent State Wellness Center.  The second drawing will be a family pass to Zip City, Kalahari, and one to be named.

December 3 – Womens Kent State Basketball Game – The entire school is attending.  Lunch slip was sent home on Friday.  Students can get lunch at game (Uncrustable, chips, and a drink, or school brown bag lunch or a disposable lunch brought from home).

Final Forms –  All final forms need to be completed and updated before students are allowed to go on any field trips.  

December 10 – Next student council meeting.  3:20-4:20  Students will be making things for the Holiday Shop.

 KINDNESS LETTERS

Kindness letters were given to Isaiah Soyars in Mrs. Louis’s class for helping a student in the T-lab with TinkerCad and for also cleaning up the T-lab. Amari Cobbin in Mrs. Yeager’s class for giving his prize in music class to another student to brighten their day. Heaven Little in Mrs. Yeager’s class for helping a teacher pick up things they dropped. And also Emmanual Fujamade in Mrs. Longanecker’s class for helping with one of our lunch monitors with breakfast names and making sure a student who left their breakfast behind got it back.

Don’t forget student council is doing a canned food drive that will end this Friday.  Please send in nonperishable food items.

Kindness letters were given to Safie Faiz in Mrs. Louis’s class, Penny Edwards in Mrs. Weitzel’s class and Taliyah Nouh in Mrs. Yeager’s class for helping to put away chairs for the music program.

Also Braylon Freeman in Mrs. Loofboro’s class for helping Mr. Greg bring in food to the lunch room and putting back computers for students that were out of the room.

And in Mrs. Weitzel’s class Zay Walker for helping the lunch monitors daily with cleaning up recess equipment.

  KINDNESS LETTERS

Kindness letters were given to Emmanual Fujamade and Jason Jeffers in Mrs. Longanecker’s class for helping Mrs. Pansmith during their recess and lunch time. Zay Walker in Mrs. Weitzel’s class for helping another student with their reading every day and also for making sure that a classmate had someone to spend time with during Halloween parties.  And finally Mrs. Bates for helping a fellow teacher set up their STAR test and making her class feel extra special!
