Don’t forget yearbook orders forms were sent home.  You can also order online.  They are $14.  

Attached to this email is the State Testing Schedule for grades 3-5.  Please review the schedule.  Testing will begin at 9:30.  It is important that students get a good night sleep and a good breakfast.

Thank you to the following volunteers that helped usher the basketball game this past week.  Congratulations to Mrs. Weitzel and RD Greenleaf for winning the $25 gift card for the last two games.

There is a good chance that Kent State will host a first round tournament game on Monday, March 9 at 7:00.  I set up a game on the Sign Up Genius.  Please click on the link below if you can usher.  If they end up not hosting a game you will be notified.  Ushers will need to report at 5:30.

Holden Hero

Special thank you to Rod Moxley, Garyn Daniels, Sam Edwards, Mae Mae Dunaway, Dr. M’Baye, and Marcus Wright for sharing with our students on Friday.  In addition to these six Holden Heroes we also recognized Bonnie Dunaway, Jazmine McClain, Nikki Marchmon-Boykin and Brianna Boykin.  

Kindness Letters

Kindness letters were given to Micha Frank in Mrs. Loofboro’s class for donating his cookie money to help raise money for schools in Ethiopia to help students who need food. Dylan Graham in Mrs. Loofboro’s class for checking on a student who was upset in the lunch room and asking if they were okay.  Also in Mrs. Loofboro’s class Basmah Samkari for giving up her time after P.E. to help Mr. Casazza. In Mrs. Metz’s class Courtlyn Coggins for encouraging other students in P.E. to keep trying with roller blading and being so positive for them. And in Mrs. Weitzel’s class Johnevin Stevens for always saying thank you and being so polite to the lunch monitors.

Kindness letters were given to Kayla Koher and Stella Miller in Mrs. Loofboro’s class for helping a student in P.E. that had fallen down rollerblading. They helped him back up and encouraged him to keep trying. 

Also in Mrs. Kunkle’s class: Sophia Reed, Destin Reese, Emma Knapp and Anthony Nestor for being so respectful, kind and being leaders when there was a sub. Keep up with the kindness!
