Dear Holden Heros,
That is right you are my hero. Everyone has been so patient as we work through things we have never experienced before. When this first happened we were able to hand out 100% of the learning packets. Now it has been extended for another month. Over the past two days, we handed out over 165 laptops, distributed learning materials to students and handed out school supplies. The teachers have worked extremely hard to have everything ready for pick up and for the online learning to begin. It really felt good to see some friendly faces. Thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do to support your child’s learning.
Learning will begin on Monday, April 6th. Please make sure that your child begins to change their sleep habits. I need to do this for my own children. They will need to get a good-night sleep and be ready to go. If possible do not have students put off the learning during evening hours. We are here to help out with any of your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact me, firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am planning on doing “Bedtime Stories” beginning on Monday, April 6th. The plan is to do it every night, Monday through Thursday beginning at 7:00 pm. I will record them and put the link on the Holden website (www.kentschools.net/holden) for them to be watched at a later time if you can join at the scheduled time. I will email out the link if you wish for your child to join live. It will be the same link every night. The expectation for the “room” is that the students will need to join but mute their microphone so there isn’t a lot of background noise. The stories that I will be reading are a mixture of the staff’s favorite bedtime stories when they were young.
We miss everyone and hope to see you all soon.
