Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed your 3-day weekend! This week, you’re going to complete Assignment #6-2: Fossil Fuels by following these steps:

Welcome to the first week of 2nd Semester! We’re halfway done with this bizarre school year. This week, you’re going to complete Assignment #6-1: Energy Resources and Consumption by following these steps:

You can keep turning in 1st Semester work past today’s deadline, but if you want it to impact what shows up on your 1st Semester report card, it needs to be in by TODAY at 9pm because I have to turn in grades this evening. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you have a great week!

Happy New Year, everyone! For the first week of 2021, you’re going to complete Assignment #5-4: Solutions for Land and Water Use by following these steps:

2. For each section of the Directed Task, answer the related questions using complete sentences
3. Complete the Creative Task and attach it to the assignment in Google Classroom (you can also paste it into the Creative Task Google Doc, or send it to me through Remind, email or text – don’t forget to include a short explanation of how your creation meets the learning goals

This is the last week of 1st Semester, so once you finish this assignment, you should go back to turn in any missing and incomplete assignments by this Friday. Keep wearing your mask, staying six feet apart and washing your hands – the vaccine will be here before we know it!

Welcome to the end of the 2020, also known as “The Worst Year Ever™”! This week, you’ll first look at the environmental impacts of mining and urbanization, and then look into footprints and sustainability. To complete Assignment #5-3: Mining, Urbanization and Footprints, please follow these steps:

1. Review the Essential Knowledge slides for these topics first, including the videos
2. For each section of the Directed Task, answer the related questions using complete sentences
3. Complete the Creative Task and attach it to the assignment in Google Classroom (you can also paste it into the Creative Task Google Doc, or send it to me through Remind, email or text – don’t forget to include a short explanation of how your creation meets the learning goals

8. Watch the short video “El Nino – What is it?
9. Follow the directions and answer the questions for Part III: El Niño and La Niña
