Skates to Schools involves KSU hockey players
As part of an outreach program for student athletes, Kent State University hockey players are introducing hockey skills to elementary students at Walls.  “We want to get kids involved in skating and hockey,” says KSU hockey player Jake Parry.  College players talk about hockey equipment, moves and basics of the game.  Students will have an opportunity to attend a KSU hockey game at the Ice Arena.

Coffee and Conversation with the Superintendent
As the school year progresses, I’m planning to rotate morning and evening Coffee and Conversations.  Our next morning meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 23, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Little City Grill at 802 North Mantua. Then we will meet Wednesday, February 27, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. in the Woodward Room, 2nd floor of the Kent Free Library. I’m looking forward to sharing future school events, ideas and answer questions from the community.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Kent City Schools.
