June Update

Dear parents and community members,

Welcome to new students and parents

If you are a new resident of the Kent Schools or interested in enrolling in the Kent City Schools, please go to https://www.kentschools.net/enroll/ .

After completing your enrollment form online, you will be automatically forwarded to SignUpGenius where you can sign up for a time to visit our new Centralized Registration Center located at the district’s Board Offices at 321 North DePeyster Street. You will be asked to bring the necessary documents to enroll your student. Registration for students enrolling at Theodore Roosevelt High School, Stanton Middle School, as well as Davey, Holden, Longcoy and Walls elementary schools, will be accepted at the new Center.

If you have any questions, please e-mail us at enroll@kentschools.net or call the Enrollment office at 330-676-7675.

Our new Centralized Registration Center is a one-stop, convenient way for parents to enroll their children in the Kent City Schools. We welcome our new families and want to make the enrollment process easy and efficient for them.

Update on summer projects

As part of our annual Permanent Improvement projects, this summer we are working on roofing improvements. In addition, each building and classroom is thoroughly cleaned in preparation for the new school year. Thanks to a program from Portage County Job and Family Services, we are able to employ some Roosevelt students to assist our custodians at no cost to the district.

Join me for coffee on July 26

Please join me for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, July 26, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Little City Grill, 802 North Mantua. I really enjoy visiting with our Kent residents.

Thank you again for your support of the Kent City Schools,

George J. Joseph
Superintendent of Schools
