Happy fall! We hope you had fun at the Walls Family Mixer! We really appreciate the support of the parents and teachers who helped staff the Mixer and the Scholastic book fair. A special thank you to Jennifer Fisher and Kristy King for planning the Mixer and to Beckie Winterich for coordinating the book fair!
The PTO has had a change in officers for the 2011-2012 school year: the Treasurer is Karyn Keck and the Secretary is Lisa Gallagher.
Acme’s Cash Back program has started! Please send in your register receipts — Acme gives the PTO five percent of the total printed on the bottom of your receipt. Last year we earned $246.41 from this program. We are also collecting Box Tops, Labels for Education and Terracycle materials.
We are seeking volunteers to help with Harvest Festival! This is an opportunity for you to come have fun with the entire Walls student body as we celebrate the Fall Season. Volunteers are needed all day Friday October 28th, but even if you can only help for an hour, you do not want to miss this event. Please contact Lisa Gallagher to sign up — lmgallagher@neo.rr.com. We also need help to provide a meal for the teachers on Monday November 21st during conferences. If you can provide a side dish or desert, please contact Sherry Tessman – jstessman@sbcglobal.net.
