Readers Theater
Yesterday we had our first readers theater. Great job.

We have had a wonderful start to the new school year. We have been exploring the three causes of erosion air, ice, and water. We have studied Niagra Falls to see how water has caused erosion of the falls. We even learned that one day the falls will end up in Lake Erie because of erosion. We started learning about erosion on the first day of school by completing a tasty experiment.
In math we are learning about place value up to the millions. We learned what standared form, word form, and expaned form is. Yesterday was 9/9/09, we created math problems that the sum was 9.
Tuesday in music we learned that the recorder is over 900 years old. We will start learning how to play the recorder next week.
We have been doing a lot of writing in our class. We created windsocks that display our writing about how to make this school year a breeze. Yesterday we wrote a letter to ourselves that will not be opened until the year 2018 when we graduate. The letter talked about making sure I do my best in school so I can reach my goals of becoming successful.
Next week if it is not raining we will have to run a mile for P.E. We will even be timed on it.
Mrs. Romeo came into our classroom on Friday and talked about how we are all different flavors on the outside and on the inside we are all the same.
