WNPS—Stanton’s Hit Radio Station—is on the air!

Stanton’s Hit Radio Station WNPS began as an idea a few years ago and is now a reality. Formed by three of our sixth grade students as a catalyst for their STEM project, WNPS not only aligns with particular science standards but provides the many aspects of operating a radio station with students at the helm. They program shows using format clocks, creating segues, editing, and creating voice-overs. Requests will soon be available through Google Docs. Please provide us with your feedback using the survey link below. Survey data will be analyzed to better enhance the WNPS experience and increase listenership. Oh, the possibilities with radio. . .

Professional station IDs and sweeps were donated by a production company. They really make our station ‘pop’. Plus students can be heard introducing songs and creating their own sweeps.
