Purpose:

Power of the Pen is a select group of 7th & 8th grade students chosen by the advisor after evaluation of several writing exercises. The selected students gather once per week to practice writing from prompts.

The club meetings culminate in local, regional and state level Power of the Pen competitions.

There is no transportation provided. Students are required to obtain their own rides home at the conclusion of the meeting, as well as to and from competitions.

Entry fees to competitions and team shirts are paid for out of the School’s General Fund.
