Language Arts (Mrs. Henry):  SSR book (students need to bring a book every day for SSR . Scavenger Hunt Assignment dueWed.,8/29.  Name Paragraph rough draft due Wed., 8/29Final copy due Thursday,8/30.

Social Studies (Mr. Pekarcik): Please bring binder and dividers to class tomorrow for set-up. Reviewed classroom rules/expectations. Begin assignment “I Am Poem” due Wednesday. 

Tuesday

Language Arts (Mrs. Henry):  SSR ,Reading Expectation Sheets, Read and discuss play, “Flush”, questions.  Scavenger Hunt Assignment and rough draft of Name paragraph due Tomorrow.

Math (Mrs. Lukey, 1st and 2nd Period):

Social Studies (Mr. Pekarcik): Organize binders by labeling dividers. Students receive Class Beginning Question (CBQ) notebooks, discuss handout explaining CBQ notebook expectations and rubric. Identify and explain reasons for studying history. Class time for work on I Am Poems due tomorrow.

Wednesday

Language Arts (Mrs. Henry): SSR, Scavenger Hunt presentations, Rough Draft Name Paragraph due TODAY., Finish reading play and discuss. Final copy of name paragraph due Tomorrow.

Social Studies (Mr. Pekarcik): Turn in final copy of I Am Poem. Analyzing the past like historians by using various clues. CBQ2. Simulated Dig Analysis. Begin Anticipation Guide for tomorrow’s textbook reading.

Language Arts (Mrs. Henry): SSR, Continue Scavenger Hunt presentations, Read and discuss fiction story. Final copy of Name Paragraph due TODAY.   Supplies due tomorrow, will set up binders.

Social Studies (Mr. Pekarcik): Identify important events in recent history and explain the impact on the present and future: CBQ3, Group activity. Identify and explain reasons for studying history continued. Read text p. 6-11 and complete anticipation guide.
