Language Arts: Elements of Poetry projects are due tomorrow. These projects were assigned on March 6th. There will be no additional class time to work on the projects, however, I will be available during lunch if students need help. Students should finish the persuasive writing review if they did not finish in class today.

Language Arts- Complete the sentence structure identification activity “Food That Fool You”.
Social Studies: Students were assigned a Ancient Rome diorama project today in class to demonstrate an understanding of the content in Chapter 11. The Diorama project is due on February 6, 2012. The diorama should depict a scene that displays some comparison of ancient Roman times to today. This scene should demonstrate an understanding of key terms discussed in class. Students can use any materials that they wish to complete the project. Students must write a two-three paragraph essay explaining the scene created in the diorama. The essay must identify key terms from the chapter that are relevant to the diorama. Key terms within the essay should be underlined and explained. Students should bring a shoe box to class tomorrow. If you have a shoe box to donate, please bring it to class on Tuesday.

Language Arts: There is a scheduled quiz tomorrow over the characteristics of formal and informal writing and identifying the parts of a business letter. Students are to continue working on their business letter writing project. If they use their class time wisely, this project does not require time outside of class to be completely effectively.
