Elliot Winarski took 8th place in the NEAC Swimming Championships this weekend while Laurel Crocker placed 7th, Joe Gray and Dana Steinert 6th, Monica Sincel 4th, Taylor Wise 3rd and 2nd and the Girls Freestyle won second place. Good job swimmers!
The Springfield Spartans fell to the Rough Rider Boys Bowling team last night with 4 bowlers shooting 400 plus series. Top scorers were Tyler Jastromb, Jon Miller, AJ Byles, and Casey Hogan. The girls also won with Tanjenae Harris leading the varsity with help from Sam Lockhart and Becca Ripley. Great job bowlers, the next match is home vs Crestwood on Wednesday.

By the way… the early registration deadline of January 15, 2010, will lock in the 2009 prices (note: the cost of this trip is not only less expensive than the 2009 trip, but it is only $60 more expensive than the 2007 trip was!), so there are definitely advantages to getting on board early.
Congratulations to the hockey team who won a great game against Parma last night by a score of 8-1! This win came after two tough losses to Mayfield by a score of 3-0 and Hudson 5-3. Alex Guy led the way in last night’s game with a hat trick, Tim Lowther and Bill Peachey each had two goals and Cory Seal scored his first goal of the season! Come out this Thursday night to cheer on the Riders at home as they take on Nordonia!

Varsity Girls and Boys Bowlers win big over Ravenna Ravens! Jon Millers 479 set with Tyler Jastomb’s 478 set led the Riders with great games by AJ Byles, Joey Swanson and Ben Harvey. On the Girls side, Tanjenae Harris fired a 419 series to spur her team. Aiding the cause was Samantha Lockhart, Liz Persuhn and Becca Ripley. Way to go Roosevelt Bowlers!
