RHS Guidance

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS:  The Guidance Office is presenting a Financial Aid Seminar - The Dollars and Sense in Financing Your College Education on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Richard Roberts Auditorium.  Presenters include Mrs. Bubenzer, Senior Guidance Counselor along with a special guest, Emily Swain from Mount Union College.  Ms. Swain is an expert in financial aid and will provide the latest information on resources available.  There will be a time for a question and answer segment.  Flyers were mailed to senior parents this week.

Transcripts

Anyone requiring transcripts sent to colleges should submit the request to the Guidance Department a FULL TWO WEEKS prior to the deadline.  Our office is closed December 21 through January 4.

Online Applications

Online applications:  You must pick up a yellow on-line application form and a green release card from the Guidance Department.  After completion, return the two  forms to Mrs. Fisher.  We cannot send your transcripts until those forms are submitted to us.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

• Meet all deadlines.
• Complete essays if requested.
• Complete separate scholarship/financial aid forms.
• Include your green card (consent to release  information).
• If your application requires a counselor recommendation, complete student profile (obtain in Guidance Office).
• Your signature and your parent or guardian’s signature where needed.
• Double check everything!!!

Envelope with postage to the college or university is required.
