Silent Auction - December 4, 2008

Vroom, vroom!! The race is about to begin!! That's right - the Silent Auction Prom Fundraiser is coming Thursday, December 4, 2008. Doors will open at 6:30 pm so you can begin browsing the many donations.

The Silent Auction Committee has once again collected some great items, perfect for you, a relative, or a friend for the holidays. Some of the items include Cavs Tickets, a Wizard of Oz basket, an Auto Zone basket, a Mary Kay basket, an Ohio State basket, a Roosevelt Spirit Wear basket, a candle-themed basket, and much more!! Bidding will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.

Additional attractions at the Silent Auction include a Cash-and-Carry table, holiday bake sale, a children's room, and entertainment. If you have any questions, contact Sue Yanchar or Debbie Duffy. See you there!!

Ushers Needed For Fall Play

Do you want to see the fall play, Maybe Baby, It's You, for FREE? Then sign up to usher on the Scene Shop door. All you have to do is take tickets and hand out programs, and your ticket is complementary! See Mrs. Kaplan with questions.

Auditions For Fiddler on the Roof!

Fall Play

Have you ever been on a horrible blind date? Are you still looking for your sole mate? Well you aren't alone! Come watch Drama Guild's production of Maybe Baby, It's you on Thursday at 6:00 or on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 to see some other people suffer through the game of love. Tickets for this romantic comedy are $6.00 for students and senior citizens and $7.00 for adults. Toy can buy tickets for 1 dollar less during lunch periods this week.

Stargirls

Scholarship Opportunity

We have received three new scholarships for students with disabilities. One is for LD or ADD/ADHD; one is for Psychiatric disability; and one is for an African American male with any disability. These are all being made available to seniors throughout Ohio. Please stop by the Guidance Office for more details and applications.

There is a wall hanger that holds numerous scholarships in the Guidance Office. As we receive scholarships, we make copies and have them available for all students. Seniors should check the scholarship rack frequently for updates.

Applebees "Dining to Donate" benefit Tues. 11/18

Kent Roosevelt DECA Chapter members Jennifer Deluke and Kristin Willson and Applebee's in Stow will be holding "Dining to Donate" on Tuesday, November 18th to benefit the Hiram Farm and Learning Community, an organization that helps people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD). From 4-9pm, Applebee's in Stow will donate 15% of your check to the Hiram Farm when you dine in or get Carside-To-Go. More information is available in the flier - you must show the flier in order for Hiram Farm to receive the donation!
