Donate Blood

Do you like the Cavs? Would you like a chance to win free tickets to a Cavs game? Then come donate blood to the American Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by DECA on Wednesday, January 14th from 11:00 to 5:00. You must be 17 years old and at least 110 pounds to donate. Sign ups will be this week in the concession stand during lunch.

Upward Bound College Club

KSU Scholarship Competition

The KSU Wick High School Poetry competition is here! You can earn up to a $16,000.00 Kent State Scholarship for your poem entry. The deadline is February 1st, if you are interested you can call 330-672-2067 or visit www.kent.edu/wick.

Second Semester Option Applications

Second Semester Option begins January 26th. If you received your green Option card from Mrs. Cirullo for the first semester, you will need to re-apply for Second Semester Option. Mrs. Cirullo will have second semester option forms in her office beginning Monda, January 12th. Bring your current school ID.

Fashion Show at Kent State

Have you ever wanted to have that moment of fame on the runway? Well, now's your chance! Student Volunteers are needed to participate in a fashion show at Kent State, sponsored by Exquisite Ink, to benefit the Kim Sellers Foundation and MS research. If walking the runway isn't your thing, you can still be involved by volunteering to help with other aspects of the event. The fashion show with the theme of When I Grow Up, will be March 6, but planning will begin in December and January. If you're interested in participating, see Miss Myers in the Activities Office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for all details.

Pick one up in the Activities Office and sign the applicant list. All applications must be turned in to Mrs. DeMarco's mailbox by 2:45 on January 15th. Anyone interested must also attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, January 8th at 2:45. Get ready to make your mark on RHS!

Scholarships in Guidance

There is a wall hanger that holds numerous scholarships in the Guidance Office. As we receive scholarships, we make copies and have them available for all students. Seniors should check the scholarship rack frequently for updates.

The Freshman Girls Basketball team defeated Firestone yesterday 33-32. Courtney Greer scored 14 points and Abby Wemhoff had 10. Great defensive effort by Meghan Finley. Way to go girls!
