Today in Guidance we have a representative from Case Western Reserve University available at 11:45 am to talk about their programs and options. That’s 11:45 with Case Western Reserve University. All Juniors and Seniors welcome.
Ursuline College Today
Good morning. The Guidance Office is hosting the representative from Ursuline College this morning at 8:30. She will be happy to answer your questions and concerns regarding their program. That’s today at 8:30 am.
PSAT
Students-registration is now underway for the PSAT test which will be given on Saturday, Oct. 15th. To register, you will need to pay Mrs. Pifer $20.00. At that time, you will receive a copy of the PSAT/NMSQT student bulletin, which is a guide to the practice test.
First OCAN/PCAN Meeting
Attention OCAN/PCAN students- the first meeting of the school year is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28 immediately after school in the library. All 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who are a part of the OCAN/PCAN program should plan to attend.
KSU College Fair
Attention Juniors and Seniors- Kent State University will be hosting a college fair on Wednesday, October 5th from 9: a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the MAC Center. If you are interested in attending, please pick up a college fair field trip form in the Guidance Office. Completed forms need to be returned to Guidance by Monday, October 3rd. You are responsible for your own transportation. Parking will be at the stadium lot with shuttle buses transporting you to and from the MAC Center.
Junior Student/Parent Information Night
Listen up Juniors! There is a Junior Student/Parent Information Night on Wednesday, September 28 beginning at 7:00 in the auditorium. Information on the college search process along with discovering career paths will be covered that evening. This meeting is open to all junior students and their parents.
Class Ring Orders
Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors- Class ring orders will be taken and a ring service call will be made on Wednesday, Sept. 14th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria atrium and again on Thursday, Sept. 15th during lunch periods in the concession stand. A deposit is required with your order, $100.00 for 10 karat gold and $70.00 for all others. Extra order packets are available in the Activities Office.
Freshman Parent Information Night
All freshman parents/guardians are invited to attend an informal meeting on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:00 pm where Mr. Aaron Carlton, 9th Grade Counselor, will be presenting information on curriculum opportunities and looking ahead with your student. There will be an open question and answer period at the end of the presentation. We hope to see you there!
Sophomore Parent Information Night
Mark your calendar now! The Sophomore Parent Information Night will be held Wednesday, October 12 in the RHS Auditorium. We will share information on career exploration, college planning and course selections for your student. Deb Rutzky, school counselor, along with RHS administrators will be available to answer your questions. All sophomore parents are encouraged to attend.
