The Rough Rider baseball team beat PTC rival Springfield yesterday 7-4.  Zach Brett worked into the sixth to earn his 3^rd win and Cam Hayes relieved him for his 1^st save of the season.  Brandon Knapp collected 3 hits, while Aaron Pinsoneault and Brandon Gros drove in a run and two hits.  The Rider defense turned three double plays, as season best.  The boys will travel to Springfield today at 4:15.

Attention any girl interested in playing volleyball next year- there will be an open gym on Wednesday, May 2^nd from 3-4:30 in the RHS gym.

Attention Boys Basketball players.  There will be a very important meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) after school in the back of the auditorium beginning at 2:45PM.

The Rough Rider Baseball Team swept a double-header from host Garfield Heights Friday night, winning game one 16-3 with Brandon Gonos getting the win on the mound, and game two 17-4 as Cam Hayes picked up his second victory.  Cory Spicer hit his first career home run in game one to pace the offense.  The wins push the Riders record to 7-7 on the season.  The boys will be back in action today at Ravenna at 4:15 pm.

The Rider Varsity Softball team beat Firestone last night in a 24-0 victory.  With 18 hits, highlights included Jenn Doershuk, Shayla Purnell, and Megan Nichols with homeruns, and Caiti Overholt had 3 singles and a double.

The JV softball team had a strong win against Firestone last night with a score of 13-3.  Bailee Wojtowicz and Michaela Blom each had amazing doubles.  Other key hitters included Nicole Smith and Amanda Smigel.  Great game ladies!
