Congratulations to the Rough Rider Volleyball team as they beat previously undefeated Copley Indians in a 5 set thriller. Miranda Bowser and Jazmine Moxley had standout performances as they both collected season highs with 15 kills and 3 blocks. Gritty performances were had by Cecilia Sheenan and Caroline Hanna as they contributed 10 digs and 48 assists. Sydney Barnwell led the team with 16 kills, while Giulia Montsori and Jillian Hanna had 10 each. Defensively, Mary Marsh had 49 digs, Olivia Bednar 10 and Kelsey Titko 9. Good luck to the girls as they travel to Highland tomorrow.
Last night the Lady Rider JV Golf team defeated Aurora by the score of 197-234 and pusher their record to 13 and 0. Leading the JV squad were Braydn Harris, Katie Kulis, Sara Lenzo, Abbey Keller, Riley Courthyn and Isabella Mineo. They finish out the season next Monday at home vs. Green.

The Rough Rider Boys Golf team escaped Barberton’s home course advantage at Barberton Brookside Golf Course during yesterday’s dual match. The back 9, par 35 was tough for both teams with Kent edging host Barberton with a score of 175-186. Kent improved to a 4-3 overall record and 3-2 league record, while Barberton fell to a 3-8 overall record and fell to an 0-5 league record. Scores were: Kyle Smith – 37, Carter Troyer – 42, Marek Seaholts – 48, Griffen Wise- 48, Mason Moldvay – 48, Casey Troyer – 50.

The Girls Tennis team had an exciting win over Barberton last night, coming from behind. Elise Kohl and Jen Coffee won 1st doubles then Makayla Scarpitti and Kat Milton won second doubles and were tied 2-2. Lauren Shanley came from behind after losing first set 4-6, winning 6-2, 6-2 to give the girls a 3-2 victory over Barberton. Great job Lady Riders!

JV was led by Olivia Bednar with 17 digs, Faith Kaminski and Anna Ford with 4 kills each, Kaminski with 11 assists, and Chloe Alexander, Olivia Bednar and Kaminski with 1 ace each. Great job ladies! JV and Varsity travel to Barberton tonight in their next Suburban League matchup.

Last night the girl’s volleyball team defeated Revere to stay unbeaten in the Suburban League. Sydney Barnwell had a monster night, putting away 17 kills. Giulia Montorsi added 13 kills. Caroline Hanna distributed the offense with 43 assists. Defensively Mary Marsh led the way with 34 digs. Jillian Hanna chipped in with 20 digs, Caroline Hanna had 15 digs and Kelsey Titko and Cecilia Sheehan had 12 digs. The team travels to Lake this weekend to take on the Blue Streaks and Crestwood Red Devils. Good luck!
