Any boys or girls interested in bowling- there will be tryouts this Friday from 3:30-5:00 and next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Kent Lanes.

There will be an informational meeting in Coach Haney’s room 140 after school this Thursday, at 2:45 for all 9th through 12th graders planning on trying out this spring. We will discuss winter workouts, off-season hitting, pitching and catching at Franklin, and Kent State Field House dates. That’s a Baseball meeting this Thursday at 2:45 in Coach Haney’s Photography room 140. Please make arrangements for a ride following the meeting.

Last night the Girls Volleyball team defeated Copley to win the Sectional title. Leading the way offensively was Giulia Montorsi with 13 kills, Sydney Barnwell with 10 kills and Caroline Hanna with 35 assists. Defensively Mary Marsh collected 32 digs, Jillian Hanna 19 digs and Cecilia Sheehan 15 digs. The Riders take on Walsh next Tuesday in the District Semi-Finals at Stow at 5:30.

Last night the Roosevelt girls volleyball team defeated Akron North to win the first round of sectionals. Leading the way was Onna Vacca with 5 aces, Faith Kaminski with 6 assists, Miranda Bowser with 5 assists and Olivia Bednar with 4 kills. The Lady Riders return to action tomorrow against conference rival Copley for the sectional championship. Come support your team at Stow at 6:30 p.m.
