Congratulations to Kory Nielsen who is nominated for the JJHuddle/Bucknuts Ohio High School Ice Hockey Athlete of the Week!!!  Kory shot a record 4-under 68 to earn medalist honors at the D-I Massillon District. She is a four-time state qualifier. Congratulations Cross Country

Congratulations to the Cross Country Team who participated at their league meet on Saturday, with the boys taking 5th in their division and the girls taking 3rd in their division.  Congrats to Alex Farrell who took 5th overall and First Team All-League and to Savanna Wills who took 8th overall and First Team All-League.  Great job runners on a successful season and good luck to the boys and girls varsity as they compete at districts this Saturday.

Congratulations Senior Volleyball Players

The final home volleyball game was Oct. 13th  for Shannon Larkin, Emme Lenzo, Gina Rock, and Renee Slattery.  The 4 seniors led our team to an impressive 3-1 win over the Highland volleyball team.  The girls begin their postseason run next Tuesday (Oct. 18) night at Stow High School against Firestone at 8:00.  Please come out and cheer us on.  Congratulations on the win last night, ladies!

Pep Assembly Oct. 14

We Are! (clap, clap)  Riders! (clap, clap)  Number! (clap, clap)  OneHey Riders, serve it up! Get ready for Friday’s Pep Rally!  This pep assembly will focus on the importance of SERVICE, specifically our school’s role in serving the Kent and surrounding communities and representing The Roosevelt Way! Tune up your voice for the class spirit cheer competition and remember to dress up in lots of school colors.  See you at 1:50 tomorrow in the gym.  Get there!  And get loud!

Women’s Soccer Beats Highland!

The Women’s Varsity Soccer Team ended their regular season with thrilling 2-1 over Highland on senior night! The win was a total team effort from defense to offense with goals from Kendra Kline and Kayla Fischer on an assist from Kendra. A special shout out goes to our seniors, Sadie Oswitch, Imani Lucas, Lydia Flannery, and Abbey Fraley. The girls next game is at Monday at Stow starting at 7pm in their first playoff game.

Student Appreciation Night-$1.00 STUDENT Pre-Sale Tickets

Hey Riders! It’s Student Appreciation night!  To say thank you for your Rider Pride, we will offer $1.00 presale tickets in the athletic office on Wednesday, Oct. 12 and Thursday, Oct. 13 of this week. Each $1.00 presale ticket will be good for our women’s soccer game on Wednesday, or our women’s volleyball or men’s soccer games on Thursday. ALL student ticket will sell for $4.00 at the gate for all events.

So stop by the athletic office Wednesday or Thursday and get your $1.00 presale ticket for each of our last 3 home games for soccer and volleyball.
