Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams who ran a great race at the Glen Oak Invitational this weekend! Top finishers for the boys were: Alex Farrell, Brian Alexander and Christian Ledet. Girls top finishers were: Korrin Spurlock, Savanna Wills and Lexi Patz. Great job runners!
The Rough Rider Women’s Varsity Soccer team got their first victory of the season at Nordonia fighting their way back from a 1-2 deficit at half-time. Leading the way offensively was Kayla Fischer with all four goals. She was assisted by teammates; Kendra Kline (2), Carlye Neaffer, and Haley Brenner. The ladies next game will be their Division opener at Aurora this Wednesday starting at 7:00pm. The JV team also won 2-1 with both goals from Liz Wiltanger and an assist from Domunique Wright.
The Kent Boys Soccer Team beat Western Reserve Academy to move to 1-0 on the season. Ryan Grant scored the unassisted game winner in the 2nd half, but this was a total team victory. From the top down, everyone contributed and should be proud of the way they fought as a team! Congrats Riders! Come support the boys as they play their first Home Game Tuesday vs Aurora @ 7pm!

The Lady Riders Golf Team improved to 2 and 0 by defeating Tallmadge 163-243 at Twin Lakes last night. Kory Nielsen led the team by shooting a 37. Hannah Thomas and Grace Thompson both scored 41. Chloe Wise and Lauren Garner both shot 44. Great job girls!

Yesterday began the start of the Suburban League meet for Track and Field. There were many great performances by the Rough Riders. Most notable was Madison Mercer in the shot put. Madison is the first track athlete to be league champion is the new league. If you see her today, be sure to congratulate her. The 4×800 meter girls team were runner up league champions with the team of Kaylie Murray, Korrin Spurlock, Alexy Patz and Savanah Wills. Great job ladies!

The Rider Baseball team beat rival Stow last night 7-5 on Senior night! Nate Hastie earned the win on the mound and Bryan McKown picked up his first save. The boys will host their first tournament game Thursday at 4:30 at Roosevelt Park.
Men’s and Ladies Track and Field teams competed yesterday in the Woodridge Stars of Track and Field Invitational. There were many great performances by both guys and girls. Some of the most notable was a blazing 1st place in the 100 meter and 2nd in the 200 meter by Allure Johnson. Additional performances were a 5th in pole vault by Helena Esparza, 3rd in 100 meter by Haneef Abdus-Shahid, and a 2nd in high jump by Emmanuel Shouse. Tony Molina should also be applauded for a whopping 15 seconds PR in the 1600 meter!
