The Lady Rider Golf team advanced to their 3rd straight District Tournament by finishing 3rd in the Sectional Tournament yesterday at Tamer Wins. Kory Nielsen fired a 74 to earn medalist honors. Chloe Wise shot 89, Brooke Harvey 94 and Coreena Wise 95. Great job girls!
The Women’s Soccer team won last night against Lake High School 3-1. Scoring were Keeley Leising and Anna Susel along with an own goal by Lake. The lone assist on the night went to Keeley. The JV also had a big and much needed win beating Lake 9-0. The girls next take on Copley in a league match tomorrow at home.
Congrats to Football Seniors Trevon Richardson and Alec Boyles for earning the Panini’s Player of the Week honors. Come join them for dinner at Panini’s on Wednesday night.

In only it’s second year, The Lady Riders JV Golf team finished a great season with 9 wins and 1 loss. The team consists of freshman Lauren Garner and Meadow Caputo, sophomores Alex Mail and Maiah Packard. Also included who saw JV action before moving up to varsity were freshman Brooke Harvey and Grace Thompson and sophomore Hannah Thomas. Great job Lady Riders! We have an exciting future ahead of us!

The Lady Rough Riders Soccer team beat Barberton in a league match last night 3-1. Scoring for the girls were Kendra Kline with one goal and Kayla Fischer with two goals. The lone assist on the night went to Emma Holm. The JV team also had a win on the night beating Barberton 5-2. JV and varsity’s next games are this Saturday at 11 and 1pm respectively against our rivals Hudson. Be sure to come out and support the girls as they continue their season.

Roosevelt is participating in a special ACT Test Prep Seminar Boot Camp on Monday, October 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in our auditorium. Girls Cross Country finished 11th place at the Cloverleaf Invitational. Placing for the girls were Kaylie Murray who came in 7th place with a time of 19:40 and Lexi Patz in 48th place with a time of 21:02. Boys put forth their best effort of the season. Top finishers were Alex Farrell and Damon Azakacs. A total of 18 runners ran their season best. Great job runners!
The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Tallmadge last night in 5 hard fought games. The team was led by inspired play from seniors Sophi Cudworth and Kait Jastromb. Sophi led the team with 30 monstrous kills. Mary Marsh led the team with 4 aces and 13 incredible digs. Sydney Barnwell led the team with 31 assists. Great job girls!
