Last night your Rough Rider Boys Basketball team beat Streetsboro by a final score of 53 to 44. The Rough Riders were led in scoring by Zac Common with 18 points, a great rebounding effort led by Luke Larkin, and great defensive effort led by Carson Lane. Your Rough Riders next travel to Barberton Friday to take on the Magics. Go Riders!

With last night’s 5 – 1 defeat to the Hudson Explorers, the RHS Hockey Team’s season came to an end. Brandon Monroe’s power play goal highlighted a strong team effort by the Riders. The team finished the season with 22 wins, a league championship, and two other tournament championships. To all the students, teachers, and administrators that came out to support our players this season, thank you!
The Girls Bowling team finished in 5th place in the Suburban League Post-Season Tournament on Saturday and finished in 5th place overall in League standings. Bowling well for the Rough Riders were Braydn Harris who finished in 3rd place as an individual and bowled a high game of 246 and a 623 series. Jade Kimmel bowled a 478 series and Tara Sefchick rolled a 472 series. Both bowling teams will bowl this Friday in the Sectional Tournament at Stow/Kent Lanes.
Congratulations to the Boys Bowling team for winning the Suburban League Post-Season Tournament and wrapped up first overall this past Saturday. Bowling high games and series for the Rough Riders were Chris Lasueur a 247 and a 674 series, Matt Richards a 656 series, Lucius Ivory a 633 series, and Kobe Thigpen a 569 series. Carter Troyer contributed by bowling a 203 game. Both bowling teams will bowl Ravenna Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Kent Lanes at 3:30.
