The Girls Cross Country team earned 5th place at the Glenoak invitational on Saturday. Placing for the team were Kaylie Murreay 5th place and Korrin Spurlock 12th place overall. Running out the top five were Lexi Patz, Savanna Wills and McKenzie Pensyl. Boys Cross Country finished 12th overall. Top finalists were Damon Skakars and Alex Ferrell.

The Girls Tennis team beat Ellet 5 to 0 last night . Pascale Bedecarratz won 6 – 0. 6 – 1, Paige Pfeiffer won. 6 – 0. 6 – 0 even being injured, Kelsey Gallagher won 6 – 0. 6 – 4, Julia Zalewski and Rebecca Douglas. Won 6 – 0. 6 – 0, and Bailey Walker and Lexi Kirbabas won 6 – 1. 6 – 2. Way to go Riders!
Congratulations to the Girls Golf team who improved to 2 and 0 with a 176 to 218 win over Revere. Kory Nielsen was medalist with a score of 40. Coreena Wise had a 44, Brooke Harvey 45 , and Hannah Thomas 47 to lead the Lady Riders. Great job girls!
The Women’s Soccer team defeated Nordonia in their home opener last night by a score of 4-2. Scoring for the Lady Riders were Keeley Leising with 2 goals and one goal each for Kayla Fischer and Maria Young. Assists went to Lydia Flannery, Kayla Fischer, and Maria Young. Liz Hartung registered her first win as goalie thanks to her great play and the defense. JV also got their first win of the season by winning 1-0 on a goal from Emma Holm.
Our Girls Tennis Team, won a thriller against our rivals, Ravenna Ravens. 2nd doubles – Ashley Spilker and Christina Andrews lost a close one 7-6, and 6-2. 2nd singles Paige Pfeiffer lost a heartbreaker 6-1, 7-5. 3rd singles Kelsey Gallager won convincingly 6-1, 6-3. 1st doubles Rebecca Douglas and Julia Zalewski came back from losing the first set 3-6, to win the second set 6-3, and then the third set 6-1. The score was tied 2 matches to 2 matches. It all came down to our newest player, Pascale Bedecarratz, our foreign exchange student from Chile. Pascale lost a close first set 7-5, she was down 4-1 the second set when she came roaring back winning the second set 7-5, and hanging on to win the 3rd set 6-4 Giving Kent Roosevelt a 3-2 win.
