Showcase of the Bands
OMUN Club is sponsoring the Showcase of Bands tonight from 6:30-9:00. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.00. Bands include Age of Athena, Girlz Nite, Skiratas Minutemen, Empire State and an acoustic performance.
Graduation Announcements
Attention Seniors! If you missed picking up your announcements from Herff Jones during lunch yesterday, you can pick them up Monday from Mrs. Cirullo in the Unit Office.
Latin Club
Calling all Latin Club members- come to the final Latin Club meeting Thursday, May 6th. WE will vote on next year’s officers and we can talk about next year’s activities. And oh yeah…there will be food!
Library Closed
The Library will be closed all day Tuesday, May 4th to study halls, student centers and at lunchtime due to classes scheduled in the library because of the elections.
SAVE Meeting
Attention SAVE members- the next SAVE meeting will be held on Monday, May 3rd during 5th period in the Career Education conference room. Bring your lunch and come prepared to plan our upcoming events.
Sophomore Prom Clean Up
Sophomores! You are in charge of Prom Clean Up this year. Sunday, May 9th at 4:30 is when it begins! Remember these hours will be added to those you get Junior year, which will go towards your three days off! There’s a sign up sheet in the Activities Office!
DECA
Congratulations to MacKenzie Bennett and Samantha Livengood who placed in the top 16 in their events at the International DECA Competition!! MacKenzie competed in the Entrepreneurship event and Samantha competed in the Public Relations event. Both competed against approximately 150 other students and teams from around the country, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam! Roosevelt continued its tradition of excellence again this year at nationals! It was Roosevelt’s 10th consecutive trip where students placed in the finals of their event; making Roosevelt DECA one of the top chapters in Ohio and the country!
Congratulations Tracksters
Congratulations to the Lady Tracksters for their 2nd place finish at the Stow Relays. Janessa Ridenour, Erin Waples and Kassondra Spangler placed first in the high jump relay. For the men, Ryan Anderson and Javontey Parker both had best efforts at the relays. Great job Tracksters!
