The Men and Women’s Swim team compete this weekend at the University of Akron for the Division I Sectional Championship meet. The Men’s team competes Friday afternoon and the Women’s team will compete Saturday. Good luck swimmers!

Career and Technical Education
As part of the Career and Technical Education program, the Family and Consumer Sciences department offers a variety of courses to teach valuable Life Skills needed throughout life. The topics covered in our classes include food and nutrition, interior design, basic sewing, personal development, goal setting, career development and exploration, preparation of college bound students, personal finance, and personal organization. These topics are just a sampling of what is offered in the FCS department. In addition, we offer an opportunity for students to explore career applications of these topics in an environment that is open and relaxed. Please consider Family & Consumer Sciences courses as you plan your schedule for 2010/2011.
The Winter Ball
The Winter Ball is just around the corner! It’s this Saturday, so put on your dancing shoes and head to the VFW in Kent at 7:00. Presale tickets are $4.00 during lunch on Thursday and Friday or $5.00 at the door. Come ready to dance the night away this Saturday for the annual Winter Ball.
It’s Not Too Late To Order Junior Apparel

Electronics is inside everything! From your iphone, Xbox and coffee pot to your car audio and home theatre systems. Learn how these devices work by studying electronics here at Roosevelt High School. There is plenty of hands on projects to go along with your study of theory. Stop down to see the program in room 502.

Health Career Technologies
Health Career Technologies is a class that prepares you for a career in the medical or dental environment. Within the classroom, students will interact with medical professionals from different work environments. This is a two year program where students will receive high school credits for college prep English, Tech Theory, Lab, Anatomy and Physiology, and an Externship during their senior year. HCT is seeking new students that are interested in learning more about the medical and/or dental field. The program is looking for self-motivated and hard working individuals who would like to better prepare themselves for their future.
