Boys Volleyball

Attention Boys Volleyball players- there will be open gym tonight 12/16 at Stanton from 7:30-9.  That’s Boys Volleyball Open Gym at Stanton today at 7:30!

Student Council Bake Sale

Today 12/16  and tomorrow 12/17 after school Student Council will be hosting a holiday bake sale!!  Come enjoy the Christmas goodies, yes!

SENIOR TRIP UPDATE: Seniors & Senior Parents – Please read!

A REMINDER FOR ALL SENIORS and SENIOR PARENTS: We’re very excited to be planning our senior trip to New York City.  The due date for the deposit is fast approaching. With a total price of $300 for the 3-night/2-day trip, the first non-refundable $100 down payment is due Wednesday, Dec 16.  The trip cost covers everything (excluding 2 lunches) including a Broadway show, a boat ride to Ellis Island, and many other educational opportunities. Girls Freshman Basketball

The Girls Freshman Basketball team defeated Garfield last nigh 39-5.  Leading the way was Libby Bradford with 12 points, Courtney Olesh with 11 and Erin Gray with 7.  The whole team contributed to this win with steals and defensive stops.  Good job girls!

Change War Results

Thanks to everyone for contributing to the Booster Club Change War.  With your generous donations we were able to raise $422.78.  Staff had 187 points, freshman 260, seniors 3,064, juniors 5,336 and sophomores won with 10,106 point.

Congratulations DECA

Congratulations to Lori Ahart, Arielle Danage and Samantha Livengood!! These DECA members participated in Kent State’s College of Business New Product Innovation contest on Friday and placed 2nd among all entrants!! They had to develop and pitch a new product idea to a panel of professors. For their 2nd place showing, DECA will receive a $500 prize and the students may get the $15,000 needed to produce and market their product!! GREAT JOB LADIES!

Lady Riders Basketball

Congratulations to Lady Riders Basketball for defeating Crestwood Saturday 81-49.  Led by Stephanie Allen with 13 points and Aylesha Hudkins, Christine Keener and Emily Carver with 11 points each.  Come Wednesday night for a 1st place showdown with Norton.

Wrestling

The Wrestling Team placed 5th at the Strongsville Super Duels Saturday defeating Akron Buchtel 81-0, St. Vincent St. Mary 53-23 and Columbus St. Charles 35-34 in a back and forth finals match.  Way to go Wrestlers!!

Good morning, RHS!  Now here’s the deal:  Hey all you leaders, it’s time to get real!  Especially you JUNIORS who like to lead, we have some positions, it’s YOU we need!  Apply for the Leadership Planning Committee.  Applications are here, give us the nitty gritty.  They’re in the Activities Office.  Yeah, that’s the place.  Only take one; be smart, don’t waste!  Please be honest, and please be sincere.  It’s all about YOU; that’s what we want to hear.  So pick up your application and fill it out.  Just be yourself without reason to doubt.  They’re here today, feel free to apply.  So be a strong leader and give it a try!
