Red Ribbon Week 10/26-10/30
Today is the beginning of the national celebration Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated to honor the work and memory of Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique Camarena who was murdered by drug traffickers in 1985. The Red Ribbon symbolizes a commitment to a healthy, drug free lifestyle. Red Ribbons will be available in the cafeteria today during all lunch periods. If you have personally lost a loved one or friend to drugs, you can honor that person’s memory by writing their name on the back of the ribbon and wearing it. Show your fellow students and staff members that you support a lifestyle that is drug free. Also, a red cord has been tied to all car antennas in the parking lots today. Let this remind you to make good choices, stay safe and be drug free.
