Cosmetology Lab Expectations
- Students leave Lab with instructor permission only.
- Seating charts are assigned by your instructor.
- Students clean and sweep their own work area.
- Other students are permitted in Lab if they have written permission from their teacher and an appointment for a paid service.
- Release statements must be signed before any service is given.
- All clients must be checked by your teacher before leaving Lab.
- Client cards must record accurate information stored in files at the reception desk.
- Gum chewing is not permitted while working with clients.
- The school telephone is for business purposes.
- Willingness to allow students to practice procedures each other is a requirement.
- All purses and personal items belong in lockers.
- Preparation of uniform and tools is an expectation. Lack of cooperation results in negative credit earned that day.
- A wallet size, front view photo and a copy of student’s photo I.D. is required before Christmas break for State Board in order to schedule your exam date.
- Students must pass Cosmetology Theory and Lab with at least 75% in order to take the state exam.
