Ms. Roberts' 1st Grade

Report cards will be coming home next week.  Please look for them in your child’s take home folder on Friday, November 4th.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  Remember that conferences are only a couple weeks away!  I look forward to discussing your child’s progress in first grade!

We have rescheduled our Bog field trip for Tuesday, October 25th.  Please make sure that your child is prepared to walk outside on the boardwalk.  It may be chilly, so please consider a hat and gloves.  Walking shoes or boots may make tromping through the bog easier.

We had an exciting first day of school!  I had a lot of fun getting to know the kids and watching them interact with each other.  I am always so impressed by how quickly first graders learn the rules and routines of our school day.  After reading The Kissing Hand, we made handprint puzzles for a special someone at home.  I hope that they made it home safely so that they may be enjoyed!

Hope to see everyone at Supply Night on Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:30-7:00.  This night is a great opportunity to meet the other kids, families, and teachers that will be working together throughout the year.  Also, it allows a chance to unload bookbags, find lockers and desks, and tour the school.  I’m excited to see everyone!

I cannot wait to meet this year’s first graders!  I have been waiting all summer and AUGUST 24TH is FINALLY here-  time to start school!  I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with new friends, great memories, and LOTS of learning! Get a good night’s sleep- see you on Wednesday!
